Hello, I have a 2018 JLU with over 122,000 miles. 3.6L, 8 speed Auto…With doors off I’ve noticed a wining noise coming from the transmission and also shifting gears I’ve noticed it’s erratic at times, I’m doing 35 and noticed I’m on 6th gear. It will down shift a little slower as well.
And after changing the trans fluid, I test drove and was doing the same thing. I also noticed that when I’m already on 6th gear(60mph) and decide to hit the gas, it will down shift to 3rd gear?!?
Took it to the dealer and they said the wining noise is coming sounds like a failing transmission oil pump and also suggested replacing the trans oil cooler. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
