Any cheap pair of sunglasses would have fixed that. I used to ride with a skull cap helmet but always had on sunglasses. I never really rode at night but when I take my golf cart out I wear clear safety glasses to avoid bugs and dust/sand.
Being their customer is on the other end of the bad review. I was rear ended by a Geico holder once and because I took my truck to the repair shop of my choice, they only provided rental car/reimbursement for 2 days. I was without a vehicle for almost 2 months. Geico said I used their body shop...
I think you are freaking out over a very rare occurrence. There have been less than 100 examples of this failure out of about 75K manuals built. Your odds of encountering other problems in the world while driving are much higher.
That really sucks. Ours has been great. It will spin the tire when turning out of a side street when mashing the throttle. No slip. If it's just a software update I am not sure I will bother with getting the recall done.
Everyone should have a thread restore kit, sometimes called a thread chasing kit. I bought a Craftsman one years ago that is made in the USA. Prices have gone up but they are very handy. A die will shave off metal whereas a restore kit will move the threads back to the correct shape...
Ah, man. All of that is really hard to imagine. Hopefully they stitched him up well and good and no gastro-intestinal issues over time.
We have been having a lot of wrecks after new road construction where I am. Underpasses and failure to yield at red lights, etc. Some of it is just purely...
It was a number of years ago but the area of the frame is weakened if worked with heat or excessive bending. The same spot bent one the 2nd hit and the bed smacked the cab. I was hit pretty square on and the opposite side from the repair was not as badly damaged.
I'm not saying your wrong but I had a Dakota get rear ended twice and BOTH times they straightened the frame out. I was shocked and mad. This was before clown world prices and labor shortage, so who knows.
Ours has been great but the 3.45 gearing is annoying when trying to reverse up our drive way. No problems with the clutch but obviously part of the recall. The actual numbers of Jeeps that have had the clutch grenade is something very small such as less than 1%.
Dealer techs don't do repairs like that unfortunately. They remove and replace. If you crack an oil pan do you expect them to weld it up or replace it? Keep that in mind.
