That looks great!
I just spent the first weekend running around on my Clayton 1.5 with Fox 2.0’s and real happy with it. Haven’t had time to get off road yet though.
Rides great on the road and highway, a little stiffer than stock but feels very sure footed.
I felt like mine was a little softer but that may be the difference in shocks. Also feel like it is difficult to tell, i have been driving my 1 ton a bit more with much firmer steering and ride. Moving from vehicle to vehicle and making changes makes some of the minor differences difficult to feel.

1.5" lift with stock shocks? Did you add shock extensions? In my experience the stock shocks limit droop quite a bit at stock height, if installed with a lift they are even further limiting.

Clayton recommends the Fox 2.0’s for 2 to 3 inches of lift and that’s what I used.
At full droop my springs were firmly in the perches but then I also added 1/2 inch spacers because I thought I might need a little more lift. I believe that without the spacers, the springs will still be retained properly.
Ultimately I got more lift than I thought I would and am now on the fence as to whether I will leave them or take them out.

I've yet to run in to springs coming loose on a JL. Wasn't an issue with 29" metalcloak rock sports on stock springs with 2" spacers. I try to get as much droop as I can out of the suspension without sacrificing too much uptravel. Our new XR is running 3.5" metalcloak springs, and with their free length there's 0 chance of dropping a coil even if I took the shocks off.

No extensions and that is a concern. I was planning to change shocks but I may test it out a bit to see how this works. Seems like in past jeeps I changed stuff just to change, need it or not. Going to try a little different with this one. "TRY"

Thats a pretty good look, might be a bit better without the spacers but not necessary.
Really like the Salta's

Zach’s right, you’re not going to like the stockers offroad, also that floaty feeling in the corners will go away with a good set of shocks.

The average stock Rubicon only has 3.6" of droop because the shocks are so short. Add 1.5" of lift and you are down to 2" of downtravel. On the street it will probably be unnoticeable. The second you drive over anything with the slightest bit of articulation, you'll be hanging a front tire in the air. Bilstein 5100s can be had for ~$400 for a set and in my experience are better on and off road than the stock shocks by a landslide. I'd recommend upgrading the stock shocks to every Rubicon owner even at stock ride height, especially if they actually plan to wheel their Jeep, but even if they don't.

Good info thanks.

Looks great! it will settle a bit more and then if you have steel bumper and winch in the plan, then you are better off keeping the 1/2" pucks.

Part of the reason why you have the feeling that you got more lift is because you also moved to the high clearance rubicon fender (I didnt do that). I have the same lift with fox shocks, I added the 1/2" teraflex spacers on all 4 corners. The front needed it and was evident after bumper+winch - I lost about 1/2" of clearance. I contemplated removing them on the rear, but when im fully loaded for camping, I dont have the reverse rake and it stays level. I loved that, so hence left all the spacers in there. When not loaded the forward rake is a good thing and helps with on-road (as intended from factory).

Note: For others considering this lift, I highly recommend the FOX 2.0 shocks (2-3" lift version). This shock's travel and valving is the perfect pairing to the high spring rate of Clayton - giving you a firm ride yet soaks up small bumps and corrugated roads. Falcons are great but they are firmer than the FOX shocks even at their soft setting. Bilstein 5100s are good shocks but the additional 400-ish spent on FOX will definitely help with the ride quality.

I installed the Fox 2.0 shocks yesterday and took it for a quick drive. First impression is good, seemed a little more planted and a less roll in the corners. Overall seemed a better ride. Quick and easy install, didn't even take the tires off.

Bit of a follow up, spent some time on the Highway and did a bit of off-road in the snow. Not sure I could be happier at this point. Ride is great, Jeep tracks well and very solid at speed. I do have the new wheels and tire and feel like I have a great balance of tire in the wheel well. At this time I would recommend this set up.
