Dont forget about all the extra cooling lines going to battery and motor... You think people are complaining about the fan now? All that glitters is not gold my friend... Imagine being on the trail with a ceased "e-torque' motor and having to re rout your belt to get home
Yeah. Realistically I didn’t actually want the etorque. I’m just kinda surprised.

Once I saw the underside video of the 2.0 with the battery hanging low and 9 miles of cooling lines it made it a little less appealing.

This is exactly why I'm annoyed at Jeep. Mojito didn't even get a full year run. Just a really short window for people to come up with $50k for a truck.

Sigh... at least it's good for our friends who already have the color, resale price should go through the roof. And my Hellayella 2019 will do everything I ask it to. It is just color after all...
Yeah. I never even got to see one in person. I didn’t want to order it sight unseen and now they’ve already discontinued it

The first post in that thread has these dates for 2019 MY:

Estimated 2019 MY Order Acceptance Date: 9/13/18
Estimated 2019 MY Job 1 Date: 10/29/18
Thanks ThirtyOne - at the risk of continuing to ask questions that are obvious to everyone else, "Job 1 Date" seems to be the start of production. From members' experience, about how long after that date would delivery be expected? In other words, if I ordered on the order acceptance date, what would be an approximate window that I'd expect delivery?

Like I said - Late November at the earliest. Could be as late as December or even January if you order something where the parts are restricted or otherwise delayed.

Will the forward collision warning and ACC be bundled together with the blind spot monitoring or available as a separate safety package?

Will probably be the same package.

Nice catch. That’s interesting. They switched to k02 which everyone seemed to think had better road manners. It’s strange to see them switch back to something more aggressive.
You can click on link for the actual press release, in there are pictures of the 2019. It still shows the KO2 in the pictures, but in the release it says KM All Terrain. So not sure what’s up

Jeep likes to reuse photos so there’s a good chance they aren’t actually updated photos

ā€˜Battery hanging low.ā€ā€™ LoL. Fyi, looking under my own 2.0L here are a list of things ā€œhangingā€ lower than the 48v battery.

1. That huge explosion-prone gas tank. This hangs about 2 inches lower to the ground directly on the other side of the driveshaft.

2. The rear diff. This is about a foot lower to the ground directly in back of the battery.

3. The tailpipe resonator hangs about 1 inch lower to the ground just in front of the battery.

The 48v battery in question is actually tucked up inside the frame, along with the cooling lines. These are higher up than the frame itself. Let’s drop the unrealistic bashing from those who look like they have never actually seen the underside of a 2.0L in person in real life. If you take out the battery in a 2.0L you will be doing a hell of a lot more damage to the underside components and should probably re-think your driving judgement.

I believe the lithium battery is air-cooled. The starter/generator is probably liquid cooled, but it's right on the engine so the coolant lines don't have far to go.

Here you go.

This pic is better than nothing, but nowhere near enough to make an informed decision on. Case in point, take a look at Sting-Gray. That looks nothing like the Sting-Gray that we've seen in person or in forum pics. The combination of the lighting and reflectivity of the page makes it impossible to get a real feel.

Tha's exactly what I thought about the Sting-Gray in the color chart. Almost looks metallic and it does not look like the Sting-Gray sitting in my garage.

Jesus. Calm down. I was making an observation on the location. I didn’t bash the 2.0. As a matter of fact I like it.

Who pee’d in your Cheerios this morning?

There’s definitely cooling lines running to the battery. Or maybe they’re are just power lines? That might make more sense. It’s a cool system. I hope it proves to be reliable
