That is bizarre. Sounds almost like an electric motor winding down, like in a worn out power window. I would first try to figure out if it's coming from under the dash or under the hood.
Same here. The problems are a concern (for me). The local dealers are still not willing to deal anywhere close to 5% off invoice, which looking at the deals many have gotten here - appears to be a gift to the dealer.
If you paid the deposit with a credit card you can get a refund. If you make a claim at your local better business bureau, you will probably get a refund, especially given the circumstances. If you file a claim in small claims, the judge will, more than likely, rule in your favor.
I don't know if I would believe that. Dec 14th? For a rear main seal that is probably available at their parts counter? Here is a link to another before yours.

If they are replacing the engine, my guess would be a blown or defective head gasket. A telltale sign would be a smoking out of the tail pipe and/or oil in the water/water in the oil.
Certainly disappointing, I hope they make it right for you.
Yikes. I want the 2.0 as well. I'm going to wait a little longer & see what everyone else reports. I'm starting to believe that Jeep just builds them & expects the dealers to do all of the R&D. The bugs are just not worked out - yet. I even thought about just getting a JK. Surely there is some...
Just hang in there. They don't want to deal with a class action lemon law, so they have incentive. The engine is a good one, my neighbor has the same in a Alfa whatchamacallit (surprisingly cheaper than you might think btw) & it has been fine. I don't think they have the 48 volt battery in...
Haha. I've had really good luck with Optima batterys. Most of mine have lasted 10 plus years. Limited use as well, sitting for sometimes months, with no battery tenders. I do disconnect them after a drive however. YMMV
i had a new Optima battery go bad within a week or so. It does happen, however I do agree with your assessment on how this one happened.
I want the 4cyl turbo but these problems are really discouraging. I suspect that the real reason the engine was not available until just now was for...
Im guessing that since the option for the 2.0 is 1k (plus the automatic - that most get anyways) that the components might be less than that amount, unless Jeep is footing the bill for some epa reasons? I would think battery life would be around 5 years.
Thanks. Hopefully the Bikini color will be something cool if they don't. The Stingray color is another favorite. I painted an old 70 Mini in a color similar to that called Lamborghini grigio telesto. At least I thought it was when I bought the paint. The catch to that color is it turned out to...
I had no idea anyone was waiting that long on a Tesla. The longest I have waited on a committed order was 4 months for a Audi Q5 tdi (the diesel). I want to order a new Jeep 2.0, but would really like to test drive one first. Like you I'd love to have one before winter.
