  1. Name this noise

That is bizarre. Sounds almost like an electric motor winding down, like in a worn out power window. I would first try to figure out if it's coming from under the dash or under the hood.
  2. 2.0 L Turbo mechanical issues

Performance wise, how do the two compare?
  3. Jeep Wranglers Piling up on Dealer Lots - Bloomberg

Same here. The problems are a concern (for me). The local dealers are still not willing to deal anywhere close to 5% off invoice, which looking at the deals many have gotten here - appears to be a gift to the dealer.
  4. Sadly, I just canceled my order :(

If you paid the deposit with a credit card you can get a refund. If you make a claim at your local better business bureau, you will probably get a refund, especially given the circumstances. If you file a claim in small claims, the judge will, more than likely, rule in your favor.
  5. It has been confirmed I have a rear main seal leak! Unreal!

I don't know if I would believe that. Dec 14th? For a rear main seal that is probably available at their parts counter? Here is a link to another before yours. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/leaking-oil.9217/
  6. 2.0L Engine Coolant Overheating, 2k miles

If they are replacing the engine, my guess would be a blown or defective head gasket. A telltale sign would be a smoking out of the tail pipe and/or oil in the water/water in the oil. Certainly disappointing, I hope they make it right for you.
  7. Map of dealers with competitive pricing

Great idea!!! Thank you everyone for the effort.
  8. 48 Volt system

Yikes. I want the 2.0 as well. I'm going to wait a little longer & see what everyone else reports. I'm starting to believe that Jeep just builds them & expects the dealers to do all of the R&D. The bugs are just not worked out - yet. I even thought about just getting a JK. Surely there is some...
  9. 2.0 L Turbo mechanical issues

Just hang in there. They don't want to deal with a class action lemon law, so they have incentive. The engine is a good one, my neighbor has the same in a Alfa whatchamacallit (surprisingly cheaper than you might think btw) & it has been fine. I don't think they have the 48 volt battery in...
  10. My 2 day old JL left me stranded on the side of a highway

Haha. I've had really good luck with Optima batterys. Most of mine have lasted 10 plus years. Limited use as well, sitting for sometimes months, with no battery tenders. I do disconnect them after a drive however. YMMV
  11. My 2 day old JL left me stranded on the side of a highway

i had a new Optima battery go bad within a week or so. It does happen, however I do agree with your assessment on how this one happened. I want the 4cyl turbo but these problems are really discouraging. I suspect that the real reason the engine was not available until just now was for...
  12. 48 Volt system

Im guessing that since the option for the 2.0 is 1k (plus the automatic - that most get anyways) that the components might be less than that amount, unless Jeep is footing the bill for some epa reasons? I would think battery life would be around 5 years.
  13. Any 2.0L Jeep Wrangler JL in sight for delivery?

Thanks. Hopefully the Bikini color will be something cool if they don't. The Stingray color is another favorite. I painted an old 70 Mini in a color similar to that called Lamborghini grigio telesto. At least I thought it was when I bought the paint. The catch to that color is it turned out to...
  14. Any 2.0L Jeep Wrangler JL in sight for delivery?

Great color. Any idea anyone if it will be available for a 2019 order? It seems it was hardly available in 2018.
  15. Looking for reviews of the 2.0

A lot going on under the hood/vehicle. I was hoping for a much simpler set up. The 48 volt battery replacement cost can't be cheap.
  16. Any 2.0L Jeep Wrangler JL in sight for delivery?

What does it look like under the hood?
  17. Any 2.0L Jeep Wrangler JL in sight for delivery?

I had no idea anyone was waiting that long on a Tesla. The longest I have waited on a committed order was 4 months for a Audi Q5 tdi (the diesel). I want to order a new Jeep 2.0, but would really like to test drive one first. Like you I'd love to have one before winter.
