Some of the dealers will do the deal without you even entering the premises. At Koons (in VA), the deal was done over email. I just went in on the day of delivery to inspect the Wrangler and to fill out the paperwork. No haggling.

Do as much as you can online if you work with a dealer! I prob spent 30min when I picked up my jlur and that was mostly waiting for the dealer to unload from truck and wash.

I got 6.51% under invoice with a $699 document fee. This brought it to around ~5% under invoice (about 11% under MSRP) when that is taken into account. I think that is their standard deal although 2018's are at 8% under invoice. Koons has a forum here you can take a look at.

It was worth it since the process was so painless.

And the new one, carefully selected, will be cheaper out the door and have higher resale value.

Although it is probably better to invest the money with the current low interest rates, I can't blame anyone for not wanting to hold debt.
