Sting Gray vs New Earl Gray

I had a hard time picking a color for my (at the time) future 392. Found one at my local dealership and when I drove by it sting gray caught my attention. I haven’t looked back since.

Definitely looks like it, good eyes!

I'm kinda liking the lighter grey color on the JLU in the front (nice, pure monotone shade without added color), but the Earl grey on the JLT in the back looks like it's mixed with a light powder blue color. Really not crazy about that, but it does look like a match to their Farout concept.

No. It appears to be an all new to Wrangler color. Anvil is much darker closer to Stingray just more bluish in my eyes. Earl is much lighter shade of gray with a tinge of blue from what it looks like.

Smoke replaced Destroyer (Sting) Gray on the Dodges.
Seems odd they got rid of it on Dodge, but kept it on Jeeps.

I’m not 100% certain that Destroyer Gray is going away for sure.

The Kentucky State Police has plenty of Dodge Charger PPV’s in that color, and are getting more in on a somewhat frequent basis.

Yea. The pictures I have seen give me the same impression. I have a Sting Gray Rubi now, and one thing I like about it is how everything you put on it (black, or Orange (I'm from Tennessee)) contrasts good. I think the Earl Gray will offer the same thing.

Yep, here is my Sting Gray parked next to another Sting Gray. One in the sun and one in the shade are two very different colors.

Overall I'm glad I got my 2020 JLUR when I did & really glad I got Sting Gray. I have to admit that Earl Gray looks interesting & could be amazing in person. But, I would still get the Sting Gray, no matter what.
