Bump. Thanks guys. Another easy diy maintenance thread. I did have some trouble shoving the Fram filter in there. Not sure it was because the fins ran a different direction making it difficult to make it into an accordion.

Thank you
@NCIC105

You asked about the Fram so, I posted the list of in cabin air filters I have.. Were it me, I would not buy the Fram offering... because .... more then one guy here has posted that the pleats run a different direction then the stock filter, thus it is harder to install.

My pick if the litter, is the Premium Guard Cabin Filter: PC99454 . Looks same as stock filter and if you watch Amazon, the price for it goes as low as $12.00 occasionally.

So, based on recommendation here, I tried the Fram CF10728 part and it does fit, but the pleats are in the wrong direction and it took some effort to get it in. I probably won't be buying that one again, even though it's less than half the cost of the Mopar filter. Hopefully there will be something else out there that fits soon.

I do like the odor recucer in the Fram Ultra, though. When on recirculation, it can reduce the collateral damage of a fart inside the Jeep.

I've got a Fram Ultra in mine right now. Yep, it was a little more difficult to get in there, but not a deal breaker, for me. I'll be changing mine after every dusty off-road trip, which is several times a year, so cheap is good. I'll have to go back and look, but I think I found some very cheap off-brand filters on Amazon or Ebay. I can't remember which, but the pleats go the easy way. I've got several in my cabinet but I don't know if they even have a brand name.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Was mentioned earlier in this thread that Sport models didn't come w/ this filter installed. My 2019 Sport S had the Mopar filter installed FWIW.

Just changed mine today, took about 3 minutes :)
That side blocking on the right side makes it a bit of a twist & bend affair but simple enough.
Can confirm that Advance Auto/Carquest part #93950 is correct and the pleats are in the same direction as the Mopar filter. Can usually get at least a 20% off coupon floating around

@DanW - what is the ultra part number?
CF10728 with baking soda, for taking care of foul passenger exhaust.

I was in error. It isn't an Ultra, but rather a Fresh Breeze. Seems well made, though. It was only $11.99. I had to twist it a bit, but it took the proper form and filled the space just fine. It is a Kia part number cross referenced, I believe.

I changed mine today with one of the Amazon Basics CF10728 (2 Pack). It has been in service 1 year and 20K miles. Pretty dirty, but I had nothing to compare to. The Amazon filter fit "ok", as I suspect most of them do, of course the pleats are running in the opposite direction from the OEM filter, but it seems to work.

Check your filters gals and guys, it is probably dirtier than you think.

The JL's with the Diesel Engine , use a different cabin air filter then the JL's the 3.6 and 2.0.

They use: Mopar 68364653AA Cabin Air Filter

Not being one to care much about the initial cost, I just put in the K & N filters in my new Willys. Been using them for years. Never have to buy another one.
