Are we not going to talk about how clean your workspace is?! I wish I had skills like this. Guess I'll just have to pay $25K for someone to do it for me! :/

Amazing! What did you do to waterproot the wood as best as possible? Thanks!
Epoxy coated the entire box then bedlined the bottom with many layers in the wheelwell areas.
The inside of the floor also got the epoxy treatment and up the sides about 4”, effectively creating a waterproof tub. All window and door openings had epoxy applied about 3” all the way around to reduce chances of any water migrating in.
Once the exterior was completely smoothed out with bondo it received 2 coats of exterior primer followed by 4 coats of Battleship Grey marine paint.

You kinda look like me and my new Timberleaf Pika trailer. And yeah, a little over $25,000 (mainly because I checked pretty much all the option boxes).

Very nice, if I had to build mine over I would either start with a cargo trailer or buy something like yours

I am constantly having an internal fight with myself to keep my garage clean and it is constantly no where near as clean as I would like it to be.
As soon as the trailer interior is finished the next major project to get started is a complete garage refurb. It’s been 15 years since it had a coat of paint and it shows.

Great project! I have 3-4 designs I've been modeling and refining the last several years but so far the stars haven't aligned (and my wallet hasn't been fat enough to tease me).

What's the plan for insulation?

Enjoy the build!

Timbren 3,500 axleless suspension with 6,000 hubs and 12” brakes. Dry weight should be right at 1,600 lbs

You did an awesome job. I really like how you added protection to the rear by wrapping the frame up around the back. Nice job !
This is my DIY.

Haha, When we bought his house the very first thing I did was paint the garage walls before a single item was moved into it. I knew damn well if I didn’t do it right away it never have gotten painted.

Got the flooring and some of the wiring done on the weekend. As for the wiring, I’m doing to completely separate harness’. One for the chassis lights and brakes then another for the “house” portion. All the wiring connections are soldered together and the chassis harness is completely inside the box instead of running underneath. In the event I have to remove the box from the chassis for any reason there will only be one connection for the brakes to disconnect.
The flooring is stick together vinyl planks that float free from the floor and the rest of the interior panelling will be 5/16” pine tongue & groove which in incredibly lightweight.
Picture of the floor and one of the boards showing a sample of the stain colour

The pics give me PTSD. Thank god you were smarter than me and didn't try to radius the front top, that was the biggest pain of the whole build.

I really like your rear skid, that's one thing I thought about and didn't do.
The rear skid is similar to the rear skid for the Jeep Extreme Trail Rated Campers they made for a couple years. I have one and love it.

Made some more progress in the trailer. Lots of tedious work like staining all the interior tongue and groove boards and spending a ton of time planning the galley layout as well as finishing up the insulation.
Installed about half the interior walls today and am really pleased with how it's shaping up. Going for the cabin look on the interior. Hoping to have it completed by the end of the month.
