The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. In fact, there has never really been another side to the fence for Wrangler owners, which would explain the initial fascination with the Bronco.

As for the 2 door, I think it's gorgeous. If it performs as well as it looks, I could definitely see myself as a future Bronco owner. End of the day a new girl in a hot dress has shown up to the ball, but the gal I'm currently with is pretty awesome too...
can you say "menage a trois"

can do same on Wrangler just may have to replace a few white clips :giggle:
They do come off easy. The wiring harness snags a bit when you dont intend to do it though. And there are a few bolts going into the fender. OTHER than that, easy to do if you “send it”

Pepperidge farms remembers a time when wrangler forums was full of people saying the 4 door wasn't a real jeep and they would never drive one. Now all I see are 4 doors. Most people don't wheel their jeeps hard. They bought them because they can take the doors and tops off. Now the Bronco offers that too. I suspect a year from now the bronco forum will have a lot of new members.

All FE’s are gone now. After all these years... they limit something? I want all the features I saw in the advertisements. That’s enough to piss someone off.

Edit: A Badlands is close but loses the special hood and I’m not sure you can get the options separately.
......and this is why I signed up as it is the edition I would want, and it is the edition with some limited availability and therefore more resale value if I decide to buy and flip.....

I won't know if I want one until we hear/see some more but for the small $$$ to get a slot it buys me time to decided if I do.

It will be interesting to see if the dealers mark the first edition up only $10,000? They are going to gouge those for sure.

I’ve been researching and it seems the hood is my main gripe. I wouldn’t want to order or separate.

Times have changed and off-roading vehicles have simply become more practical. Lots of people camping with their families, exploring outdoors, etc... 4D Jeep is fully capable and practical. The issue is that Jeep kind of stopped caring much about the 2D, they didn't read the new market. People stopped buying the 2D because the price difference is not that big, and the 4D is a lot more practical. The 2D Jeep has been slowly dying, but with the new 2D Bronco, that might change.

The 4D Bronco and 2D Bronco have the same tow ratings. FCA has been full of excuses for 2D owners for far too long. Jeep has been comfortable for too long.

It is 2020 and they gave us 13 cubic feet of storage on the trunk.... because "it is a 2 door". The 2 door bronco has 23.6, and 58.4! with the seats down. And it is also a 2 door.

Meh, the whole reason I have stuck with the Wrangler is its tried and true platform. Bronco has been out of commission for 25 years now, Ford is just trying to raise the name from the dead just like they tried with Thunderbird (insert 'puke' sound here...).

Bronco's IFS is going to be its Achilles heel. There has and always will be an inherent durability issue with any IFS system, especially when going off road.

I'm in the same boat as Kizzo. I'm having a hard time writting the check (even though I do really like Jeeps), due to some of the common known issues that just dont seem to be getting addressed.

My last two company trucks have been F150's and my wifes daily driver is a grand cherokee, so I have experience with both brands and so far Ford is winning.
When are you buying? My guess is you are a good 12-18 months away from getting your hands on a Bronco.

How can they? I have a MSRP that sets the high end, and then we negotiate down from that. Perhaps that negotiation is not fruitful, but it certainly will not be above MSRP.

The dealer is allowed to negotiate the price. The $100 deposit is just to hold your place. If there is a large demand for the first edition the dealer will take the best offer. Just like a house when there are multiple offers above list. There is another post that points out the finer points of the reservation and anyone who put $100 is not guaranteed a vehicle, but you do get the opportunity to work with the dealer to reach an agreement with the buyer.

See this thread for more clarification and the fine print

Tesla is different in that the $100 deposit on the Cyubertruck did guarantee price and Full Self Driving package price.
