Broken rear window

2025 wrangler.
Came out this morning and found the left rear removable window shattered, what looks like from the inside.

my exterior security camera didn’t see anything malicious.

Warranty item, probably a defect in the glass.

There were some unfounded reports of people who inadvertently blocked the rear vents on their tailgate and when they closed the door it caused the Jeep to temporarily over-pressurize resulting in shattered windows.

But this was never proven. It’s far more likely you drew the short straw and ended up with glass that had a critical flaw when it was manufactured.

This one has the sky one touch top. I don't think vents matter with a fabric top.

Take pictures of the glass on the inside too. That could help when you're eventually dealing with the dealership and / or insurance.

??? I see the drivers side window intact, with a missing trim piece, and red paint encroaching on the glass. Through that glass, to the passenger side, glass looks completely fractured in typical safety glass fashion. Both rear side and door glass.
Why is there paint on the passenger glass? Why no picture of the passenger side of Jeep?

I took video as soon as i opened the rear tailgate. There's nothing wrong with the passenger side.

Not sure what you think is missing. In the election of the rear passenger side window, the tall vertical item is the reflection of a telegraph pole.

Any chance you forgot to latch (2x) the window? And hit a nice bump?
Or you had somehing inside and banged against the glass?
OR in's a defect....Bring it back to the dealer and file a claim.

Only had the Jeep 2 months, it's the wife's pavement princess. Rear widows have never been removed and doubt they ever will be.

We have a lot of kamikaze Red Cardinals that like to dive bomb our house windows, from the reflections of themselves, just wondered if this may be the culprit, although I didn't find any evidence. i.e feather or bird poo near the scene.

Safelight can fix it tomorrow for about $280 if the dealer gives us any grief.

Was just curious to see if this was a known issue as this is our first Jeep in 30 years.

Can you take a better picture of the printed information on the lower right corner of the glass? From the chipping around the edges and the waves of cracks in the window this looks like it was improperly tempered, which could make it fragile and prone to breaking due to heating and cooling.

All the cracks come from one point and it looks like there is an impact mark.

make sure you get all the glass bits out from between the fender flare and body, it will raise hell with the paint. Probably worse than the little stones that get trapped in there.
