I use the BOH program as a reason to travel. They take me places that I might not normally go and they are usually not in populated places that also have things like camping and hiking related stuff also.

I have 55 badges, tomorrow, I will get two more in Kansas, then, wheel in Disney Oklahoma the next day, then the following day wheel in Hot Springs to get the new badge trail before heading to the Gulf coast to camp for a few days.
Which section of coast? If it was TX and my ride wasn't in the shop, I'd share a fire on the beach and bring an extra fishin' rod.

Just curious as to how many are targeting BOH vs. other trails and if it is a ‘notch on your belt’ or badge on your Jeep… or not?
Not targeting BOH trails, nor do I have the 4 I have on my Jeep. But, if I come across a BOH trail, why not? Just give me some good trails.

We will be camping on the coast in Louisiana at Rutherford Beach. We have camped about 20 days on Padre and was there back in March. So we are skipping Padre this time.

Next trip, then. The national seashore is nice, but there are some other cool spots like Magnolia Beach.

Dusty Ershim is one of the few trails left that I need to do. I was close to it in 2022, but it was July and the trail doesn't open until August 1st. So I was not able to get it. Sadly it is a 5000 mile trip for me to return to the area. While I do wheel in California often, It is typically over the winter in southern California. One day, some day I will have to make the trip or plan my travels different to do Dusty.

The dusy is a dusty doozie for sure it was like the rubicon on steroids. Unlike the rubicon trail where you get some breaks the dusy never lets up.

No BOH trails yet. But my wife and I are planning a couple of road trips this year and are hoping to hit a few BOH trails along the way. I've already mapped out three trails. Should be fun. They are easy trails because my wife is worried about pinstriping HER Jeep. (Belly scrapes are fine.)

Badge 56, 57 and 58 came in today. It took about three months to get these. They are very easy trails.

I think I am going to try and pick up Dusty Ershim, Poughkeepsie Gulch, and the badges at SMOOR on our way home from Alaska. We should be dropping back into the lower 48 around the last week of July or into the first week of August. That will give me all the badges west of the Mississippi River.

This should be my loose route to Alaska and back to the lower 48 to head home to Michigan.

one of my buds that often travels with me has a bunch but has never put on on his Jeep.
I just can't bring myself to display them. I prefer people think my jeep is a mall crawler. I have always kept my jeeps pristine and you never would now they have been offroad. I love it when someone talks smack to me about my jeep being to clean too offroad....I just smile and agree.
I will say pough keepsie is a breeze but the dusy is a beast. it is the toughest trail I have done. To me it was 5X harder than the Rubicon trail. Mostly because you never get a break it never lets up. one of those bucket list trails tho and dusty ershim would be a better name for sure.

I wish I was closer to some BOH trails - there's few and far in between in the southeast
