Just curious as to how many are targeting BOH vs. other trails and if it is a ‘notch on your belt’ or badge on your Jeep… or not?

I've done many but don't much care about any badges. It's the trip, the trail and the friends that mean something.

I understand the need by some to have participation trophies. That's fine. Personally, I enjoy the memories and the few photos.

There was not an option to do them all and not register for any badge.

I use the BOH program as a reason to travel. They take me places that I might not normally go and they are usually not in populated places that also have things like camping and hiking related stuff also.

I have 55 badges, tomorrow, I will get two more in Kansas, then, wheel in Disney Oklahoma the next day, then the following day wheel in Hot Springs to get the new badge trail before heading to the Gulf coast to camp for a few days.

Excited to hear your take on the 2 KS trails! Wish they were released when I drove through this summer… then again the new hot springs wasn’t yet and I found it?. Talk to the people at hot springs, the new trail is really easy, (that said we did it dry) but there are some other cool spots and trails on that side of the park!

I have 13 of the badges. Like Ted, it was a motivation, for me, to do more. I normally tend towards Jay's feelings on things. But, this program helped motivate me and a friend to go from zero to the Rubicon (and to Moab) in one year. The memories are not diminished because I slapped a few badges on the jeep. In fact, I found that they are a reminder of the good times, every time I look at them.

yup every time I look at the Jeep, I am reminded about being on cool trails with great friends. About times when laughter a round a campfire and good food. The BOH program has motivated me. I am goal oriented and so it does bug me when they add new trails, because I get the feeling that I will never be done.

You don't want to be done, Ted. Done is bad.

Ditto with above posts!

I also like the rating (as flawed as it is) and the comments on the BOH trails….I really like to know what I am getting into! We are fairly new to offroading and se our daily driver so there is that!

My grandma lives in hot springs. It's a pretty area but I've never been offroading there. Might be an excuse to make the 7.5 hour trip to go see her hahaha!

My jeep has been driven to each badge trail, wheeled it and drove it home to Michigan. My 2020 camper got towed over 52,000 miles behind my jeep. I have pulled my new 2023 camper almost a thousand miles since I bought it late November of 2023.

We will wheel the new badge trails in Kansas tomorrow.
