Average coolant temp

I just bought a '20 Unlimited. It runs at 177-185 on the freeway, at about 55-60 ambient. Seems low but I talked to two mechanics that said it was OK if there are no check engine lights.

They’re wrong, it will flag a fault once ambient temperature drops low enough to cause a slow warmup. Of course, it’s fine, but so is driving with a check engine light on. It’s just not ideal.

what kills me, the wifes grand cherokee, same 3.6 motor, same software, etc, the temp guage does move up or down a little. The wrangler temp gage? Locked stationary one needle width below half for anything 190 to 245, which has been that way since 2014

186 while driving, goes up to 220 in parking lot.

Needle reaches middle mark at 140 and stays there
