I’m installing 2 small cubes and a 30 inch light bar on the hood. Should I wire all three lights to same wire from AUX kit? Also, is there a specific wire from AUX kit that is recommended? I know they differ in power output...

Yes you can put all on one switch unless you want them to come on separately. Switches 3and4 are 15amp and 1and 2 are 40 amp. You can use whichever switches you want, but I would use the 15amps for lights. Save the 40s for your freezer or air compressor, etc...

@Iceman

Suggest you do as @Roky suggests. Use either Aux 3 or 4.

Michael .... Read through these threads and then come back with any questions you have.

Also, do know you will not end up using that " substantial wire lead " you mentioned. It is not needed nor desired.

Aux wire bundles are found in 2 places. Passenger footwell and in the engine compartment. Not in the "fuse box". Read at the threads I noted and there are pics and a wealth of info there.

How many amps will all of your lights draw? If more than (or close to) 15 amps you may want to have the 15 amp aux switch operate a relay with inline fuses to the lights.

Doubtful that "2 Hella compact LED driving lights" would draw near or over 15 amps. It is wise to know draw before doing the install though, so you know how to proceed.

@msdesignltd

So, you will have 2, 40 watt lights. Each 40 Watt light will draw 3.333 amps.

So, your 2 Hella's will draw 6.667 amps, total or 6,666.7 milliamps

No problem then, using Aux 3 or 4 as they are fused at 15 amp.

Lets see what the fuse on the harness is rated at when you get the lights. IF the harness is fused at well less then 15 amp you could keep the Hella provided fuse in the picture for better protection and just get rid of their switch in the harness if they provide a switch as you don't need/want a switch on the harness.

I did 4x KC on switch 3 and the other 4x KC on switch 4.
Mainly because I thought I might want to run the outboard wide angle stuff without the spots in the middle being on.
In practice, it'll probably be run everything all the time.
