I just installed a new front bumper on my new to me 18 JLU. Taking off the old bumper, the electrical plug was damaged, so I cut it off. There are three wires there.
I read somewhere that the black is ground, and the other two are hot.
When I got done, daisy chaining the two pucks and a small light bar, I could only get the passenger side puck to operate. I tried both of the wires that were supposed to be hot. Same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated, please!

Are you talking about the electrical plug to your factory fog light? If yes, I would order/purchase a new factory plug for it and re-wire it back to factory specs. This will solve your problem with your fog light.

An aftermarket light bar: This is what I use, and it works flawless every time.
Amazon.com: Nilight - NI -WA 06 LED Light Bar Wiring Harness Kit - 2 Leads 12V On Off Switch Power Relay Blade Fuse for Off Road Lights Work Light, 2 Years Warranty,Black : Everything Else

There are other ways to wire accessories, this is the way I prefer to wire my accessories. Everything is under the hood, except for the switch. I generally mount the switch to the lower part of the dash, off to one side. You can mount the switch just behind the dash, out of sight. Depending how many amps your accessory is; The correct gauge wire, correct amp fuse and I also use loom over the wires.

Best of luck my friend.

Do you have a tester? Check the wires on the driver side and make sure your getting your required 12v power there. If not you could easily just drag another set of wire from the passenger side over to feed the light.
