I don’t know why you guys are always trying to make it difficult, just take a picture of your alternator.

Better yet, just look at the negative battery terminal and see if it has two leads coming off it.

Honestly with jeep people, after about 5 years there’s probably a half dozen leads or more attached to it. Box of chocolates kind of shit opening the hood on a strangers jeep.

Look under your Jeep
Do you see a 48 volt etorque battery As outlined in red?
if so you will have an empty auxillary battery box

Would it not be easier for someone to post a pic of their boxy e-torque motor/generator that looks different than an alternator ? Bonus, you don’t have to crawl underneath for the pic.

I have a 2021 3.6 v6 eTorque and can confirm - No aux battery. I bought it used and didn’t realize it was an eTorque until I went to change the main battery. No Aux bypass needed.​

I can’t say what’s easier for someone else. I am not so old and decrepit that I can’t kneel down and lower my head and using my prescription corrected eye holes look and see a suitcase sized object under there. Then make old man grunting noises as I stand back up.

Or since it was purchased new, look at your build sheet, or your window sticker that you saved. You did save those right? Then avoid all the picture posting, potential back tweaking, etc.

Heck even avoid the wasted time on the forum and YouTube and whatever other bad advice that suggested you need to remove your fuse box and do possible damage rather than pulling back the inner fender liner and discovering you have a stash spot for your weed or those extra 10mm sockets rather than an auxiliary battery,

I hear you need to do this with your dates. You never know what equipment is under the hood or panties.

I have a 2023 High Tide with etorque and the v-6, and the factory rxtreme recon 35" tire pCKAGE; and it has performed flawlessly, This original post person should get the window sticker for his Jeep which will tell exactly what is there. Sounds like an etorque to me, which is a good thing.

3.6L Autos were etrorqe in 2021. They dropped it from the 3.6 in 2022 or maybe 23.

My 23 is an eTorque 3.6L with the 48V Lithium battery underneath towards the rear with cooling system lines.

I'm nearing 80. The next time I bend down and look underneath, I need to pay attention and see if I make old people sounds when I get back up. I don't recall that I do make those sounds.

Ok, my curiosity got the better of me so, for giggles, I had to see if I would make old people sounds getting up off the floor taking this picture of my Aux battery that is covered up by my Metalcloak Skid. Nope, no old people sounds from me, I was just worried more about hitting my head on something getting up.
