Auto Start/Stop for 2024

I posted this elsewhere but thought it would be worth a new thread for 2024 owners.
I now have a 2024 2 door Rubi and I just installed the "Autostop Eliminator" and it works great.

It goes into "OFF" mode out to the box so I tried turning it on and off. It holds the setting either way in case you want it back on (for some unknown reason, haha).

Installation was easy and fast. Worth EVERY penny!

Sure, but this does it permanently.

I've got one on my Jeep too, because I prefer the default ESS setting to be "OFF".

yeah, first thing I did on mine in 2019,

it the same as the adding the redline hood struts.

didn't need them but I sure do like them

I installed the same on my Raptor and it’s great. I use the Tazer for the Jeep but swear by both products.

So you don't have to hit the button every drive and curse when you forget.

Ordered this one from Amazon. About $40. Haven’t installed it yet. Looks easier than some others. Less cables.

It should only be a single cable. Not sure why it would require additional cables

connections are the same. module is in line on the one you ordered and out of line on the USA made one. You won't need the pry tool for this install, the cover pops off.

I would not install the "auto start/stop eliminator" offering or the same unit branded with s differnt name if you gave it to me for free..

Suggest you send that offering back for a full refund while you can.
Buy a SmartStopStart unit for $100.

The offering you purchased is known to hiccup on occasion. It will work and then it won't work occasionally.

-> I read where one JT owner had an issue with this unit where it kept UConnect awake when it hiccuped and the guy ended up with a no start situation thanks to battery(s) depletion.

Another thing with this offering.... very big in size... and also where it installs is YUK.

Do you really want to tear into that visible dash area and risk marring of plastic and loss/damage of clips, etc. and have to deal with getting the offering squished in there each and every time you remove the unit (yes, you should when you take the JL in for dealership or to a shop for work)

Anyway, makes little sense to go with this offering..... sure you save a few $ .... but..... anyway, no way I would go with this offering..

Going with a SmartStopStart unit that is known to never ever hiccup and that does the job every time, year after year is the way to go.

When you sell the JL, you can also sell the SmartStopStart unit. You will be able to sell it easily for a tad less then what you paid for it. SmartStopStart is a top notch offering, terrific reputation.

The Tazer JL is a terrific offering if you need more then just the ability to deal with the ESS button push.

In regard to the Tazer JL ..... a very positive thing is to use it in conjunction with/along with JSCAN.

With E Torque which is no longer available start/stop is not even noticable.

I bought the autostop eliminator because smartstopstart will not ship to California.
