Auto glass cleaner

i like windex the best (not the generic knock off crap, not the same) but I also like the glass cleaners in a spray can that foam up and stay put without running. Have to use a good lint free microfiber and the most important thing is to have the wife do the cleaning while you drink a beer and watch her (yeah, like that happens)

I used to use stoner glass cleaner but I swear they changed something about it and its not as good the last time I used it.

They ruined it when they reduced the amount of THC in it.

Invisglass with good quality paper towels. Key to avoid streaks is don’t do it during peak sun light hours. I honestly clean first thing in the morning or after sunset and use my garage lights or street lamps to verify no streaks.

Nobody’s mentioned it so far, but my favorite is Sparkle Glass Cleaner. It is the only thing I’ve used that doesn’t leave streaks. Used Windex for years, but this stuff is much cheaper, and beats everything I’ve ever used…

Stoner Invisible Glass and a four pack of those free micro fiber towels from Harbor Freight, in the shade before it gets hot out, will make you wonder if the windows are even there!

basically anything blue and some paper towels - don't buy that 12 cents a jug anything blue but some real anything blue - if you want you can use the squirty thing blue stuff for under the hood, not yellow, not green, not pink... just blue !

now this time really spray the hell out of the glass like you mean it and don't skimp out trying to save a dime... just keep spraying then gob up some fresh paper towels (buy real ones, not that 12 rolls for a nickel brand) and keep wiping, throw those on the floor and get a fresh gob of paper towels... if you didn't use at least a half a big roll on your interior windows you were skimping out
Also, like someone else said just use old newspapers... not the glossy ads, not ones that sat out in the puddle, and not the ones your wife had saved in that treasures box... just some plain old newspapers and, yes, they honestly will work better than the paper towels
Also, don't use paper towels or newspapers to clean the clear plastic over the guages as for whatever reason sometimes it scratches them
And normally it takes two tries to get everything but I figured you already tried once or you wouldn't be dicking around asking us right now

Sprayway for me also. Wife found it years ago, works great. Always used the plain old Windex, but like the Sprayway foam, less running with the foam.

It seemed like nothing was a “magic bullet” but it looks like a lot of people have mentioned a few steps I’ll be trying to go lighter on the cleaner and using a few different type towels like you mentioned. I know one issue is I wait forever to clean the I side so they are really really dirty.

Same here. But next time, I’m going to try the magic eraser as mentioned above to agitate, and see how it works out. We have a ton of these around. I have used them for interior detailing on door panels and the dash. they work well.
These pads work great to super clean the outside of the windows. I always keep it in my wash bucket.

What’s the best glass cleaner? I always end up with streaks when the sun is just right at dawn and dusk. Do I need a special towel? It drives me crazy!

Mother's makes a rubber like clay bar product, looks like a large computer mouse. Windex first of course. Works great.

Synthetic clay is awesome, so much easier than the real stuff.

As you mention, great way to get the grit off the windshield that seems to build up after some miles.
