Gorilla glass???

I know Mopar did have this option with the JK front windshield. Just wondering of anybody having this in the past and how it held up as well as if there is any insight on them bringing it to the JL windshields?

I don’t think it’s available. Kinda leaves us living on the wild side, trying to pull matrix moves on rocks coming at our windshields. All I can say is, keep a pair of sunglasses handy.

looks like the article suggests that it would be substantially more durable. No discussion of cost though. if the glass does fail (I.e. with a larger stone, etc) I’m wondering how much more to replace it than a conventional windshield?

regardless, it’s good to see evolution in windshield tech as getting a chip really is a PITA Right now.

so here's my question. what happen "if" the gorilla glass breaks and you have glass coverage on your insurance. i dont think the insurance company is going to replace the gorrilla glass. imo, for me its cheaper for the insurance to replace the glass.

Gorilla glass is an imaginary, pretend feature backed by clever marketing that only the most gullible will spend their money and buy into. That “type” of glass is absolutely breakable and I’ve seen countless broken where the accident wasn’t even all that extraordinary. Great in concept, poor in execution.
