As a side note the 2024 comes standard with GG and there is no alternative since the antenna is built into it

then , I don’t know about now but the warranty for Gorilla Glass plainly stated that it must be installed by a dealer, no mention of installed as part of the build. I dealt with Jeep Cares, yeah right🙄
I got tired of arguing with them and just used my insurance.
It definitely doesn't say that now. I'm pretty sure it's like the rest of the warranty-related things on their sites: factory only.

Reading all these comments... 4 windshields in two years, etc. etc....
Jeez! Y'all need to stop tailgating! 🤣🤣

And yeah, GG.... waste of money.

if you still think that the only way to get a rock in the windshield is from tailgating, you're sorely mistaken, and not paying attention.

something needs to.
I drove and wheeled 2 different CJ-7's for 15 years (their WS's are a LOT less raked), and now this JL for over two years. Not one serious rock chip, or broken WS in all of it...
So maybe with all your WS issues, it's YOU that needs to "pay attention" 😉
Happy Jeeping!

if you were paying attention to the very thread you're responding to, you should have seen multiple references to chips that occurred due to objects thrown from oncoming traffic, vehicles in adjacent lanes, and even from peoples own vehicles when no other vehicles were present. no amount of a drivers "paying attention" or "not tailgating" is going to make a difference with those situations.

traffic volume in TN might make an actual difference in your luck so far, but that's what it is; luck.

Another holier than thou "you need to learn to drive" egotist?

Or maybe you're just making fun of them?

Can't wait to see how much the '24 windshields cost to replace now that in their infinite wisdom they put the radio antenna in there as well...
1289 for the glass
105 for the seal

And I’ll see what the labor is Monday morning at 930.

GG was a $100 option when I ordered so I got it. After about a year we had a rock hit it and crack it. It was covered under warranty, but none of the dealers seemed interested in being bothered with it. We worked with Jeep Wave or Jeep Cares, I forget which and they ultimately agreed for us to have Safe-Lite replace it replace it and be reimbursed by them. They were very prompt with the reimbursement. The one-time warranty replacement was well worth the $100 purchase premium.

Bottom line is do your homework if you need to have a windshield call around to different companies. A Jeep windshield replacement is an easy job compared to most other vehicles.

I found safelite to be one of the most expensive and sometimes try to charge for a re-calibration fee (for no reason unless you have adaptive cruise control) and their costs are generally higher then most and they also use the cheapest glass they can find.

Just watched the tech replace mine. I helped him do it since he was short. No reason whatsover I couldn't service this my self and is what I plan to do. Canceling my glass coverage, lowering my insurance a bunch, and will replace as needed with non OEM. Works just fine.
