Did they come in?
Not yet.

I reached out to DHL. The Cust Svc agent claims that the driver made the first delivery attempt on Thursday the 18th, and the second on the 19th. The Ring doorbell camera footage determined that was a lie.

The third and final attempt is now scheduled for tomorrow, after which they threatened to return it (to Haifa, Israel? Really?).

Anyway, I told the rep that if the driver whiffs things again, just hold the parcel at the terminal so that I can go get the damn thing myself.

I'm disappointed in DHL at the moment. They delivered a pair of Sidi motorcycle boots to me a few years ago that were shipped direct from Germany, and that shipment went swimmingly.

DHL delivered the Assfire skid plate this morning, as quick and easy as you like. That makes me wonder if their claims of two prior delivery attempts even occurred, but whatever.

As placed on my porch:

The skid plate was placed loosely in the box, sans any protective padding. The mounting brackets, also loose, stood proud of the width of the box, which caused the perforations evident in the preceding photos (meaning the external poly wrap was the sole remaining protection.)

No initial product damage was observed. I'll keep these photos on hand in the event that a claim for missing hardware needs to occur. Should there be any shortages, and as the vendor is way overseas, I may just source the relevant bits at Ace Hardware and ask the vendor for a modest goodwill credit.

I had asked for a sticker or two to be included in the parcel. By my count, at least 5 or 6 were provided.

We'll call it 6mm.

Congratulations!
Hope they’re good to go. Looking forward to your install.

He's probably already done. Lol. It takes less than an hour.
Ha. Not yet. My wife surprised me with a new desk for Offspring's room, which just had to be assembled and placed today.

And so I required replenishment after that detail-oriented task.

Had a few ask, here are pictures of the Valvomax and ASFIR skid. No where close to hanging down.

Disregard bag on diff housing. Potting lockers and need to keep crap out of then while it cures.
Realize this is an old thread but I've had ny asfir skid sitting in my closet for just as long 😂 The valvomax looks really nice. Sorry if this is a dumb question as I haven't changed my own oil yet, but if you put this skid on, is it easy to access the oil filter? From watching videos it seems like it makes the draining of the oil look super simple, but can't tell about the filter. Just wandering if every shop (or future me) will makes a giant mess or have to take the skid off every time.

On the 2.0 it is. Not sure about 3.6.

Ah ok thanks for the answer, was hard to tell from videos. I also have the 2.0. I'm in a big cleaning mode right now so want that skid out of the closet. Thinking of getting the asfir skid on + valvomax for next oil change. Was also looking at fumoto options -- not sure but seems like both might be easier and cleaner long term options than the oem plug.

Yeah, I could see why you wouldn't want your valvomax hanging out of your asfir.
