Were any of you dinged extra taxes, duties and/or fees at delivery? Who was the carrier?

Just wondering if I'd be able to use the Post Office, via my PO Box, in order to possibly avoid brokerage fees that might accompany a UPS shipment. I've sent an email to Asfir, asking that very question.

I've not purchased any hard parts from a foreign vendor like Asfir, so this my due diligence. Thanks.

I don't recall there being any added fees. I do recall thinking the price was still dang reasonable even with the shipping cost. I believe it was delivered by DHL but I wouldn't swear to it.

Speaking of Canada... The one time I did get charged an import tax was when I ordered a gallon jug of fiberglass resin for my Seadoos. I think it was $80!
They were like "Take that eh! Ya hoser!"

Good to hear. It's usually us getting screwed by US UPS. Lol.

Side note though, if it says Made in The USA on package , we don't pay duty. I imagine it's the same the other way.

That's precisely why I posted here. There's any number of comments in various threads from various owners, usually in the Great White North, who mention getting really dinged on brokerage fees and the like. I'm hoping to avoid the same fate.

You're good in PA. Side note, we did a couple years of Rausch Creek from JKF0rum so we convoy'd down. First time I ever had:
1. Garlic butter chicken wings, cause wings are already too healthy and;
2. Yuengling (sp?) beer. It wasn't bad for a lager, pretty sure we put the light ones like that in baby bottles up here though.

Love wheeling at Rausch though for sure.

This is the exact same setup I have. Valvomax and Asfir skid plate. It is a no brainer.

Omfg. That is terrible beer! That what teenagers drink to get shitfaced at bush parties casue it's like 7% or something.

You're on with the craft beers though. I love this explosion that's happened in the last 10 years or so. It's great up here as well.

Nope. Just like BDinTX. DHL was used to deliver to the house here in Indiana.

Thanks, gents. I ordered the Asfir skid plate yesterday. I just received concurrent emails from that company, and DHL, advising me that it's already in transit and due here on Thursday.

Considering the origin ship point, that's darn impressive. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. DHL did treat me well when I purchased a pair of Sidi motorcycle boots that were shipped from Germany.
