I did the same, but i bought my 24 as kind of a community jeep for friends and family to use so the rear seat may be needed sometimes. Kids climbing in and out that compressor doesn’t stand a chance.
My 813 mount has a skid, I mean kid, plate:

Mines never complained but it only runs when the Jeeps stopped and were all out for the most part lol
Thanks, we’ll likely be out too, but sometimes she’ll sit in the jeep pretending to be doing stuff on her phone while I do everything…… wait where is she……:bandit:

She'll complain about the noise way before the heat.

Thats why I just pulled out my rear seat
I took out the rear seat for a couple years, then put it back in for a while when relatives needed it. Recently removed the right 60% side and used a bracket to tie in just the left rear seat to the floor, with the plywood platform I made covering most of the footwell of the rear area.

The AAL has a guard as well but with the seat flipped all the way forward the compressor is fully exposed from the top.

Yea I made a small carpet covered platform for the back of mine to smooth out the floor to keep the dogs legs out of the holes, as well as just a nicer place to pack stuff for camping.

I saw where Grimm Offroad is using the 4xe charge port cowl piece as a air chuck panel. Very cool idea. I'd like to do that, but their mounting of the compressor in the engine compartment just looks like the heat would eventually kill the compressor, and routing an air line from under the seat to that side looks tough.

Not to hijack your post. I have the Grimm mount for my ARB, and have had it for 3 years. I used the heat shield they provided. Then I bought some stick on reflective heat shield, and also wrapped the hoses in heat shield. Knock on wood, I have had zero issues out of mine. I've been in Moab wheeling in 100+ heat all day, and the used the compressor with no issues at all. The air intake being relocated up top helps it get cooler/cleaner air. I am definitely a proponent for that setup. You get everything you need including the wiring. If you're interested in that mount and have any questions or want pics of anything let me know, and I'll send them to you.

Assuming you have an automatic transmission, I don't see why you couldn't run an air line through the driver's side firewall plug. I run an air line from my Grimm mount through the firewall into a digital pressure gauge in my cab.

I have the grimm under the hood set up, and run a high-pressure line to the rear bumper, where my air up bag is, very convenient, very easy to run the wiring, across the top of the engine bay, airing up 35" tires ARB pump gets just gets warm even in a 2.0 turbo engine bay and after full days wheeling. Air filters for the ARB are on extensions and sit at the top of the engine bay for easy cleaning.

Our Under Front Seat Mount should fit fine under either seat. I was using our '22 JLU when designing the mount and did not see any height differences since I always have the seat as low as it goes. There is approx 3/4"-1" clearance from the top of the compressor. The bonus with mounting under the seat, the floor vent sits right beside the compressor so you can use the AC to help cool it when it is hot outside. I have several customers who have ran lines to outside the Jeep from under the seat, it isn't too hard if you use the firewall or floor grommets to do so. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help!

Mine is under the passenger seat. No noticeable heat coming up through the seat. It did blow a fuse in the Mojave one day during inflation of the last tire. Good idea to keep the engine running while using it. Higher voltage, less current.

Too many issues with the ARB Dual pump, plus under the seat complaints about noise & vibration. I’m going with a portable dual like EZFlate, etc. I’ve suffered long enough with a Warn PowerPlant.

I went against all advice (cause I'm stubborn like that) and mounted mine in the engine bay. Another expensive and time consuming life lesson. It was overheating and causing the fuse wires to deform and then blow the fuses. I went through about 6 fuses before I tossed in the towel, moved the compressor under the passenger seat and re-routed my air locker lines. I've had no problems since. Airing up has been faster and nothing overheating.

It was a pain though to route all that stuff. I have the compressor power wiring, switch wiring, air hose and 2 air compressor lines I had to fit up above the frame and through the tiny drain plug. The air locker lines also aren't really bendable so that was a challenge.

edit: I also took some advice I think @wibornz posted about a while ago that he has his AC vent under the seat pointed right at the compressor and turns on the AC on when airing up.
