mines under the pass seat with the arb mount. it has a kickplate to prevent rear seat passengers from hitting it. it is kinda loud but neither my son, or any other passengers have complained.

Seriously? Ours isn't loud enough to bother us in the least.yes. It’s loud, which is why I said to think about this before you do it.
Just blowing them up by mouth? I'm thinking I might get a bit light headed at our altitudeGave it some more thought. Im abandoning the whole compressor thing.
Nah, I think I'll just hang with people that have compressors mounted under THEIR seats, so I can just pull up next to them, air up, and be gone. No setup, no coiling tangled hoses, no noise in my jeep. ?Just blowing them up by mouth? I'm thinking I might get a bit light headed at our altitude![]()
I have to scratch my head with this response. No disrespect, but to me… the whole point is to get out and enjoy the outdoors. I find I and others, are in the Jeep most of the time on the trail and we enjoy just as much the stops whether on the way or at the end, chewing the fat over the day’s journey. I know my dog feels the same and the kids… get them off their phones and expose them to the real world. With the compressor being under the seat, think about your kids, dog or significant other in the jeep while you air up. It’s pretty loud.
I’m extremely happy with my under the hood mount from grimm off road
Just a note for those piecing their systems together.I got theses from Grimm off road, multiple sizes and fittings are online or hardware stores, I just got long enough to reach the back and used an ARB disconnect, also wired the pump into my aux switches

I don't mind at all! Yes, I always recommend the JIC-4 version since it sits flush and doesn't use the bulkhead fitting. But, it does require using the 1/4" flare air lines. I sell the GRIMM air lines with my mounts because I like how they are built vs the ARB lines. The GRIMM lines have a nice rubber/silicone coating over the lines and there are several sizes available. I usually carry 12/20/30/40/60/80/120" lines to help customers put together their custom setups.Just a note for those piecing their systems together.
There are a couple different versions of the ARB couplers. If you are in a spot where you need something lower profile, the JIC-4 version of the coupler can be installed without a bulkhead (basically it's threaded to act like one). Guessing it saves you at least a 1/2" compared to the 1/4" NPT.

Jeremy @813 Fabrication & Design uses these on his plates. The JIC hoses/fittings are a little more difficult to track down and I believe he works with Grimm on those. I don't have a good shot on my phone (hope Jeremy doesn't mind me linking his pics), but this is how flush the JIC coupler ends up in comparison:

The wife and I went on our first Colorado off road trip by ourselves and had no way to air up, so we couldn't air down.Nah, I think I'll just hang with people that have compressors mounted under THEIR seats, so I can just pull up next to them, air up, and be gone. Thanks for this info, I have one of the antique 2018 Rubi’s…..passenger seat is not adjustable…?The wife and I went on our first Colorado off road trip by ourselves and had no way to air up, so we couldn't air down.
We went with the ARB twin and the Kraken mount. It's not going to bother you for sound or vibration because you'll likely be outside the Jeep anyway, we always are.
Airs up all four 37's from 12 pounds to 37 in 7 minutes. Comes with splitter hose for both sides so everything goes up at once. Simple install and fits under a standard cloth rubicon seat (which does not move up or down).
Don't be that guy that's always mooching air![]()
I was just kidding. I have a Viair 440p, a 10 cfm twin china, and a ARB china OE or clone. The wife and I went on our first Colorado off road trip by ourselves and had no way to air up, so we couldn't air down.

Yea, I forgot to mention it's in a 21 JL. Maybe the newer standard passanger seats go up and down but mine does not. Thanks for this info, I have one of the antique 2018 Rubi’s…..passenger seat is not adjustable…?
Prior to getting our first compressor we filled up at gas stations, but yeah, those aren't always within a few miles of the trailhead. The wife and I went on our first Colorado off road trip by ourselves and had no way to air up, so we couldn't air down.
