I have installed a Tazer in my 2021 Rubicon, mainly for correcting my speedometer/odometer readings. I have the BFG K02 315/70 R17 on Method 703 bronze wheels. I compared the speedometer on the Jeep to my phone GPS speed and distance to sneak up on the correct Tazer tire size. Eventually got it to within 1% accuracy, which is close enough for me. (Speedometer is spot on while the odometer will show a bit less than one mile short on a 100 mile trip).
My question, actually, is this: Why is there so much emphasis on removing a Tazer when carrying the vehicle in for dealer service? My dealer had absolutely no issue when questioned about mounting 315/70R17 tires on the factory Rubicon wheels (even though the tires recommended an 8" minimum width wheel). Neither did the local tire shops when questioned. Both places said they did it all the time...or..."we'll mount whatever you want on there".
So I really don't think my dealer would have any heartburn from a Tozer being hooked up (after all, I don't live in a place like Calif). Then it occurred to me that it may simply be because they wouldn't be able to read through the OBDII port with their laptops (if need be) if the security gateway module were disconnected. Anyway, I bought the extended Tazer cable to make it easier to remove and reinstall the Tazer if need be. Those connections are a real pain to get big fingers in the right place!
Thanks!

. Mine is bypassed and it solved some issues. I also installed AGM high end main battery recently and he confirmed that's a good idea and to check it regularly and test it before trips into remote areas. (He Jeeps himself) Didn't sound "dumb" to me.
