The live features work with the Tazer installed whether or not it’s married. It’s the settings such as tire size and gear ratio that will not work without being married.
I’m running 37’s on an XR with no lift. My wife is running 37’s with a 2.5” lift on a standard JLR.
If you add a lift to an XR you aren’t adding lift on top of the XR package. The lift height will be compared to a standard Rubicon. You should be fine with a 2.5” lift to run 37’s but it will...
My service department suggested either a Tazer or a ProCal to adjust for tire size. Because, as they put it, the cost that I'd have to pay Jeep to adjust for tire or gear changes wasn't worth it.
If it were me I'd install Eaton Truetrac's front and rear with the correct gears for your tire size and call it a day. No thinking, no messing around with wiring or plumbing, and they put way less stress on your drivetrain. Unless you NEED lockers, limited slips are the way to go.
I wouldn't say that I destroyed my hitch. It's plenty tough. But I did rub all the powdercoat off the bottom. Depending on the trail you will drag your hitch dropping off the steps.
The OP posted about a stock JT. Plenty of bed hanging out there to drag.
Get a good rear bumper and/or stinger for the rear hitch. I scratched the hell out of my rear bumper from dropping off ledges and I was in my stock JL 2dr with 35’s. Your JT rear end is going to get a work out.
I don't know how the radio would be affected. I never have seen that issue. Wouldn't be the first time that a radio went a little wonky though. It probably isn't associated with the Tazer.
Updating is easy. Download the update program from zautomotive's website and plug the Tazer in with a...
Higher altitude here. I'm at 3000sf elevation but within 45 minutes I can be north of 10,000sf elevation. 5.13's for sure. Anything less feels insufficient.
