Call me crazy, but I've been really admiring these angry grills in my head lately. Not sure if I'd appreciate it once installed, but of all the angry grills, I feel its the least aggressive and dumb looking. 🤔

Either that or I've been kicking around the idea of painting my factory grill Chrome... You know, like those aftermarket JK grills!

Thoughts?

You know what's funny?

I actually have a baggie from Amazon of either 8 or 9 more Little Red DOT approved LED light bricks. Basically I could easily replace the orange ones on this grill with red ones that I already have at home. No I'm not sure I would, red is kind of one of those colors it's just a little bit too dark for me.. 🤷‍♂️

Kind of why I was thinking about doing mirrors in place of those orange lights. Mirrors would definitely be different, that's for sure, in different is definitely my kind of thing!!

It comes with a backup camera which I will probably put underneath the vehicle to use as a rock-crawl camera!! 😎🤩🥳

Actually no, but now that you mention it, not a bad idea! 😍

Strangely enough, I actually like this grill. I seen it on a few Jeeps in the area. Depending on the Wrangler, it doesn't look that bad when I do see them around.

You know, this made me realize looking at the photo, not only would I have to cut the eyes circular, I'd have to cut my JK style turn signals... I'm not sure there's enough room down there to do that, as my aftermarket off-road turn signals are require a 2&1/2" square hole, and then 3&1/2" of space to tack down four bolts on each side...
You could use some paint can lids for bezels. It would totally fit your build scheme.

The new Defender would be quite handsome without the angry headlights. Most people don’t notice, but being a Jeep guy, and being traumatized by the angry grille it’s all I see.

Funny you mention that, that's all I see on the new defenders myself as well. All those cool square lights on the rear it's kind of fancy, wish we could do something like that on the Jeep, but yeah the factory angry eyes on the new defenders is kind of... 🤨

Honestly at this point, I think just because I'd have to transfer my JK style turn signal lights over is what's going to keep me from making this purchase anytime soon. That's not to say I won't get something like this in the future, the blandness of the factory grill is kind of boring at this point for me. I like to keep changing it up, but that extra work of cutting more holes and trimming more shit, not really worth it in my mind right now.

If I ever change up my whole front end again, then yeah I'll probably switch out the OEM grill, but for now I guess I'll just keep it. ☹
