Again ill probably keep this in the family for a long time (my oldest kids are already fighting for it at only 14 & 10 yrs old lol)Probably depends on make model but a detailed records, binders or notes definitely has netted me more money. It would be tough to sell some cars without freaky detailed records. It's a lot more important in the enthusiast car world. Not to say the Wrangler is not a enthusiast car/truck. It definitely is. The Wrangler crew is just more forgiving. lol.
BUT, If I was looking at (2) wranglers for-sale-by-owners:
(1) had no records of anything, slightly modified @ $15k
(1) had detailed records of everything, slightly modified @ $20K
I'd personally pick the latter of the two. Maybe it's because I do it, I don't know.
But for me, that scenario would hold true with nearly any used vehicle purchase.
Anytime I've purchased a used vehicle finding an owner that does this is like finding a unicorn but if/when I find it, I jump on it.
Will be looking for a used vehicle for my oldest soon enough and you can bet I'll but looking for this haha
