Maybe new owners focus their attention on upgrades, like appearance, accessories, or modifications. While those choices shape the look and feel of a vehicle, long-term reliability and safety are often determined by basic maintenance habits that are easy to overlook.
Simple routines can make a...
If you live somewhere with long rainy seasons, melting snow, or roads covered in salt half the year, you probably know this feeling: you open your car door and… something just feels off. Damp air. Muddy footprints. Maybe even that faint musty smell you swear wasn’t there last week.
Moisture is...
What's up fellas and fellets! I have now 100% ordered everything for the race exhaust and tune from a company way up north. I wanted to check and see with everyone here and see what I should be looking forward to as far as any issues with the install, reliability, and maintenance.
Just to be...
I need to maintain my 4WD.
Bam comes with 4H auto
Is this system a reliable and safe for the vehicle method for maintaining my 4WD system?
If you've used it what issues have you noticed with it?
Does it lead to excessive wear like my brain is telling me it would?
I bought this low profile 3ton jack with max reach of 19.7”
I needed one jack to use for my bmw and my 2020 stock jeep wrangler.
Is this a good enough reach if I wanted to do oil change and break changes myself?
So I've got a 2018 JLU with the 2.0T. The Jeep is sitting right at 69,000 miles. I have a long-distance road trip planned in August which will be about 2500 miles round trip. I would like to do any preventative maintenance now so that I can be confident that the Jeep will make it without issue...
My Wrangler hasn't been to the dealership in 3 years; all routine maintenance and service being done in my garage. Unless there's a compelling (recall/warranty) reason to return to the dealership I'll continue to service it myself.

A little over a week ago I bought a 2021 Wrangler sport from a Chevy Dealership with only 37k miles. A day and a half after driving it off the lot my engine temps started shooting up and I immediately brought it back to the dealership. They looked at it and said there was exhaust fumes in the...
I took my 2019 JLRU to the dealer recently and they recommended I have my breaks inspected. I get the phone call at work, the fronts are at 2mm and need to be changed asap. I said no, thinking this is a great opportunity to do my own break change (they did all maintenance while I was still...
Was browsing the mopar accessories website and came across a steel mesh prefilter for the stock and/or cold air intake. PN 82216440AA. Anyone here use it?
Seems good in theory, especially for my desert wash riding that gets pretty dusty. But I haven't seen any specs on the mesh size. Is it too...
Has anyone purchased the Mopar Extended Maintenance Plan after the Jeep Waive free oil changes have been used up?
My dealer’s offering an additional 7 years/+70,000 miles from today’s odometer reading to cover all maintenances listed in the owners manual. I’m inclined to purchase it.
I've been trying to learn something about maintaining the eTorque engines. I'm coming up dry.
How can I monitor the health of the 48-volt battery?
Any way to see the operating voltage or charge direction?
How do I replace the battery coolant? Do I have to pump out of the top, or is there a...
Bought a take off suspension of a 2022 XR Rubicon to put on my JL sport. Had only about 200 miles on it but wasn’t cleaned after it was taken off and sat a bit. The third link/control arm joints developed a bit of surface corrosion. What is safe to use to clean it off and what should I put on it...
My confidence in dealership service department is low. Is there a trusted non-dealership shop you can recommend for maintenance & service in the Houston (Katy) area?
Not looking for shops specialized in upgrades.
It's so easy to change oil in the standard (non-eTorque) 3.6L even I can do it. Now I have a 2021 JLUR 3.6L eTorque on order. I'm wondering if the oil change procedure is the same as non-eTorque. Is there any additional maintenance to perform for the eTorque?
Thanks!

I'm getting ready to do my first major cross country off-roading trip with my family in early July. We're planning on driving from MI to CO and spending 3 days in the Ouray/Telluride/Silverton area hitting all the beautiful mountain passes. My question is whether anyone has a good list of...
Does or has anyone else created a maintenance log/record and file their paperwork after services are performed?
Maybe I’m crazy but I also filed all of my initial purchase paperwork to include my original temp tag and window sticker...
Am I anal retentive?
I'm from NYC and bought my car down in philly. Unfortunately its not convenient for me to drive 6 hours round trip for warranty work. Anyone recommend what dealer around NYC does good work, with little to no issues or lies?
Jay: perhaps this belongs under Ordering and Pricing Discussions. I'll leave it to your discretion as to the proper placement of this thread.
The question up front:
I want the full monty extended warranty. But others may desire less. Is anyone knowledgeable on the MOPAR and non-MOPAR...
