Anybody know if the wiring harness for ATC- 68301852AA has the sun sensor and cabin temp sensor wire attached to it?

This may be helpful to those that aren't able to make the wiring for cabin and sun sensor additions. I've made a plug and play harness to add cabin and sun sensor to Wranglers and Gladiator. It is used to add a Sun sensor and a Cabin sensor to those Wranglers and Gladiators that are upgrading to auto climate HVAC controls.
Click here to see the harness. This harness attached to the HVAC Module and taps into the 12v outlet for power.
I have another upgraded version of this harness that will be plug and play right to the two connections on the HVAC Module.

When will then upgraded one be available?
Short answer is 1-2 months.
Longish answer is I'm having my prototype replicated by our manufacturer. They need more time to get one of the connectors used to make it plug and play.

ETA on the updated harness? I'm not seeing it on your site yet.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it here.

Yup that's it. Works great! Hope it helps with your projects and anyone that needs this plug and play harness for adding cabin and/or sun sensors to their JL, JT, and DT.

We are waiting on a batch to come in from our manufacturer. We ordered them in March, takes a bit for them to come in. I have enough parts to make one more. I'll hand make you one today and get it to the warehouse to ship. šŸ‘

I ordered this harness about 2 weeks ago, finally put it all together last night.
easy to figure out, every plug was labelled. my daughter was ecstatic that everything works as it should.
Thanks @Infotainment!

First, this part number from the PDF is not correct. 6GD97TX7AB
This is for the dash cap for the sun sensor. I drilled it out and it works.
Still, thanks to @danny01 for a very good write-up. It was very helpful.

Also, thanks to @Infotainment for the harness. It works great.
It made the install very easy. Very good quality with extra wire.

And thanks to everyone else that has contributed here.

I'm still getting things worked out. I've turned on dual mode in Tazer Mini.
This brought the AC to life, but I can't adjust temps yet. Fan speed works.
And it is set to high heat, but it seems to be blowing cold.

After an extra power cycle everything seems to be working correctly.
I think my AC might be working better actually. But it isn't too hot today.

This is the center stack I used. $70 on eBay.

This is the first write-up I've done here on the forums so feel free to message me if you have any questions. Ever since Joe added the ability to turn on Automatic Climate Control for those who upgraded to the 7-inch UConnect, there's been many of us who wondered how we could add the missing sensors to make the "Auto" feature work as intended. I've had these sensors installed on my Jeep since April of last year, and it thought I would share on here a detailed guide on how to do it.

Be warned, there's a lot of information on the guide itself so make sure to read all of it thoroughly before attempting anything. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the wording used as to not get confused later on. Basic electrical and wiring knowledge is need to do this install.

The guide covers those of you who have an existing sun sensor on their Jeeps as well as us who have the base model and do not.
Thanks for the guide!!! Worked well. Used infotainments loom. Well worth it.

I just received this harness yesterday, but I’m sort of dumb to some of this stuff. Are you able to point me in the right direction for where I find the connections that already exist in my ā€˜21 Willys Sport? Specifically the pass through to 12v and the HVAC module? For example, does the HVAC module plug just replace the ones that is currently in the control unit i installed or does that mate to another location?

This is my first Jeep and first post on the forum so I’m still new to getting this stuff figured out properly.
Thanks!

So I've got some bad news... After adding the cabin air and sun sensor my heat still wasn't working correctly. Even in manual mode the air temperature blowing out of the vents would cycle from hot to cold repeatedly.

I took a look at the HVAC module in JScan to see if the cabin air sensor was actually reporting temperatures and it was but I was getting codes for left and right panel duct temperature sensors and right floor temperature sensors and it turns out that there are also temperature sensors inside of the air distribution box that the HVAC module uses to control the temperature blowing out the vents. I'm not sure if later years include these sensor in all models but my late model 2018 only includes a single sensor for the left floor vent.

I was sad, I'd already spent quiet a bit of time and money trying to make auto temperature control work and now it looks like their are more sensors. Since I've come this far I decided to just go ahead tear the dash out and replace the air distribution box with the ATC version (Mopar 68301867AA) and find the HVAC wiring harness to match (68301852AA). I found a wiring harness on eBay that already had the 3 additional temperature sensors (68301849AA) and orderd the air distribution box.

After getting the box in I realized two things. First, replacing the air distribution box would involve literally removing the entire dash almost all the way to the firewall. (DON'T DO IT). Second I realized that the MTC air distribution box is made using the same molds and you can tell where the temperature sensors should go there just isn't a hole drilled out.
Based on all the different threads without this info, I’m not sure how well understood this is, that you can’t just add a temp sensor, sun sensor, and auto center stack to a jl and expect it to work. I tried it, and it triggers open circuit codes for the missing sensors you mention.
Thanks a lot for posting this.

Sorry for the late reply.
That harness is there to replace your existing sun sensor and adding the cabin sensor the vehicle needs. The HVAC module is in the driver foot well. Look for the black box with two plugs on it, one small black and one with gray plug with blue lever. For power you use the 12volt outlet pass-through. This just plugs into the rear of your 12volt outlet while allowing the 12volt outlet to still be useable.

I've made a new harness that allows for an existing sun sensor to stay in place and only add the cabin sensor. This new harness also taps power of the HVAC's gray connector with the blue lever.
