One annoying piece of my JL that my WK2 didn’t annoy me with is a good spot to mount my brake controller for my pop up with electric brakes.

Decided to use a 70 cent angle bracket from Home Depot and make my own.

Drilled a couple extra holes on the bracket, drilled two small holes in the metal under the steering wheel, and used a couple small machine screws with nuts to attach the controller to the bracket. Works great now and comes nowhere near my legs so I don’t accidentally bump it etc.

I mounted my permanent position of my brake controller last night. I put it where I can see it when driving and where I have quick access to pulling the manual brake if I need to.

This is my exact view when driving...

@digitalbliss and @crushinit, I realize this is an old thread, but I'm curious about what brake controllers y'all are running and whether they were plug-and-play with the factory tow package.

I've been reading a bit about the new OEM controllers, but I'm not interested in replacing my factory 12v outlet with a controller. I'd prefer something aftermarket like this.

I'm also brand new to towing and brake controllers, so forgive my ignorance. I really have no idea what I'm talking about or what my options are!

Edit: Nevermind, it looks like they are the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 and Tekonsha Primus IQ brake controllers.
