I went with the Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro. I have a pair of the Spots and a pair of the Floods. Also got a pair of the Fogs to replace the factory fogs. All I can say is they are amazingly bright. The Spots and the Floods can't really be used on road at all. I turned on the Spots on a deserted piece of roadway and was blown away at how far it light up the road. I mean, I didn't do it but someone may have done it.;) The Fogs are at least 4 times as bright as the factory LED fogs. The Floods are setup to be ditch lights (as in light up the whole neighborhood).

i have the baja designs lp4 spot on the a pillar and lp4 driving combo on the bumper. the lp4 spot is plenty big on the a pillar. with that idk if you want to go up to the lp6. i would check the lumens between the 2 and you might be happy with the lp4. also save a few $$$. the spot does throw a lot of light and there is some glare on the hood due to the 1800 lumens of light that comes from the side of the lights. i would not run the driving combo on the a pillar for 2 reasons. 1 is that the flood of the light will have a lot of hood glare. 2nd is that it will not give you much forward lighting. my set up works pretty good in lighting up whats in front of the jeep. i also have the baja design squadron sport driving combo in amber mounted just above the l plate.

Do you like them? Do they reflect off the hood in your face? Getting ready to purchase as they are on sale. Thanks

I went with the MOPAR ones. Between the headlights, bumper lights and these, I can light up the night for sure.

Personally, I think the A pillar is perfect for ditch lights oriented that way. I’m a fan of Baja Designs and those are Squadrons. And LP4s on the front. More than plenty of light for me and no hood reflections. I’m not doing 80mph in the desert at night.

Hello, the board. I knew since I got my Willys that I’d eventually get some additional forward lighting, but I also knew I’d only want two A-pillar LED lights. No plan to put on a roof light bar or any bumper pods (I do plan to get Diode Dynamics rear hatch-hinge mount light bar for illumination to the rear). I do have the factory aux switches so I’m looking forward to being able to wire them into those and not install a separate switch.

Looking for personal experience from those running just A-pillar lights and what they’ve experienced. Since these are the only front-facing, they’ll have to serve as combo (spot/flood). I’m looking at KC Flex-Era 4s, Diode’s SS5s, and Baja’s LP6s. Night runs would be primarily USFS roads.

Thanks in advance for your input!
Baja LP6 would be overkill IMO. LP4 would be good. I have LP9’s but they are not running as A Pillar. I have squadron pro as A pillars

I went also with Mopar Performance lights made for Jeep by TYRI, they are insanely bright and are indestructible. 4 five inch pods to the aux switches on bank 3&4…

Thanks @dragoneggs - appreciate the input. What front bumper is that?

Get them because you want them. The Stock JL LED lights are plenty bright enough for night runs.
Wish that was the case for me - but when I almost smacked a deer I decided to go the lights on pillar in the tight roads that are wooded (didn't want to get a new bumper for that route) - they have been a blessing so far. It's not just based on "want" but on what one feels they need for their situation.
