I just got rid of my JK that was equipped with KC Daylights on A Pillar Mounts. Those lights cost me @ $260 if I recall. For my new JL Rubi, I decided to go with Go Rhino A Pillar Mounts and while I was at Harbour Freight getting a few items I came across these pods. I have 2 spots and 2 fogs and I must say they are every bit as good as the KC's were. I can't speak to longevity but light output is impressive. At $25/pod I figured I couldn't go wrong. The packaging indicates they are CREE LEDs and that along with the water proof connections and rather sturdy housing and mounts convinced me to drop the $100 on them. I made up my own wiring loom and utilized the Aux 3 and 4 switch connections next to the battery.

Looks Great! How did you make the harness? Was it a pain?

Rigid cowl mounts with d-series spots on top and dss floods on bottom
I like the position of these. Looks like there wouldn't be any hood glare. I'd prefer if they had made the attach point of the lights with the bolt vertical rather so the light could be adjusted outward.

It'd be nice to be able to adjust the lower lights out a bit more but the side shooters do a really good job giving you light at a 45. there's minimal glare, not enough to be much concern though. I mounted both sets in the furthest position to maintain the ability to lower my windshield, not that I've even done it yet, but I can :). I think with driving or floods on top, you'd get some hood glare, the spots do a good job not hitting the hood too hard. The most glare is from the floods on bottom, but it's reflecting off the sides of the hood so doesn't really affect visibility. The mountain road I was on to get to my uncle's cabin is about 3 miles up and heavily wooded - moonlight doesn't really make it through all the trees. These 4 tiny lights made it like daylight - I was impressed (also, never ran off road lights before so the visibility really blew me away).

I like the Diode Dynamics mounts. Allows for multiple pods and doesn’t hug the paint, where I can still clean under the mount.

What lights and mount? Did you have to make a harness? Looks good!!!
Since I've never been on a trail, I was told on the forum to pass on the roof light bar because of wind noise and get some pod lights instead. Wanted the lights just in case I ever needed them, so I got some cheap ones. eBay for the mount and Amazon for the lights.
About $25 for two floods and two spot lights. Mount was $32, but I suggest putting some foam tape underneath. It came with two thin little foam pieces.

Oh and I made a DIY switch panel a week ago and hooked up the lights to it.

Wow lol, I just went to the link. $12 a pair!!! And they shoot well? For that price I’m willing to give it a shot as like you, I just need them for just in case.
