I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
I'm a huge Marlin fan and have their lever-guns in .22, .35, .44 and a couple in .45-70. I'll probably get a third .45-70 at some point.

Pretty good, my JLR is 20 lbs heavier at 4,760. Soft top, 35's, steel skids, sliders and bumpers. But I only have a 9,500 lb winch so that's why we're so close ;)

Someone posted recently their JLUR was over 6,000 lbs which surprised me. My 72 big block vette weighs 3,200 and keeps me laughing at all the 392's.
My 4xe is 6100

.35-Rem fan here.
Desert Eagle, .50 cal, when you care enough to send the very best. Or when you absolutely positively have to kill the burglar hiding behind the refrigerator at your neighbors house...

If you're into low recoil, might work. I prefer S&W 500, twice the energy, 8 times the muzzle blast.

5970 for my JLUR. Need to have front and rear axles done separately for the calculation for the Fox DSC shocks I will be buying next

Took my ‘22 JLU to the scales today. Weighed 4740 with me in it. Third tank of dead dinosaur, Smittybuilt XRC front bumper with 10,000 pound winch, BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires, soft top.
With a full tank of gas I should still be under the 5,000 limit on my motorhome. I was pleasantly shocked. I expected to be over 5,000.
How can you weigh 4750lbs with a 10000lb winch? Your math must be off.

Fully loaded (2 adults, 2 big dogs, 2 weeks of gear, fridge, tent, etc) my 2 door came in, surprisingly, at almost 6k. It adds up fast.

I need to get an empty weight soon and see how much junk we actually brought.

Finally got an empty weight (full tank, no driver)... 4940 lbs! A cool 718 lbs over the "official" empty weight of 2 Door Rubicon, noted earlier.

How did it handle carrying twice it's max. load rating?
Very well. Never lacked power and the Clayton / Elka suspension held it's own while canyon carving. :) Noticeable impact at highway speeds, however... 63+ and MPG dropped like a rock from the turbo staying spooled.

Put on a few more pounds and you can fight a Challenger in the heavyweight division.

I really want an NA Miata...

But my GSXR is around 400 pounds, with ND1 HP.
Do it! Stick to a '94+ for the 1.8 and try to find one with the Torsen diff. Had one for ~8 years and only reason I got rid of it is a friend of a friend had an '88 10th Anniversary RX7 he wanted to trade straight up cause it didn't run. Those first gen Miatas are a blast, Id even recommend up to a '99 NB cause that was the last year before the variable valve timing motors and those '99 heads are the best that came on the 1.8.
