Spotted a scale while out driving around and decided to weigh in. Was surprised to see that I was already at 5680 lbs. without anyone in the vehicle or cargo. The gas tank was about 3/4 full. I could easily exceed 6000 pounds with myself and one other person in the vehicle and a few tools. Hard top is probably 100 pounds additional weight when I am driving around during the winter... These things get over GVWR quickly, glad I went down to 5.13 gears.

List of mods that added measurable weight:
37" BFG KM3 on KMC bead locks
3.5 Gamechanger MC lift
MC steering system
MC Full underbelly skids
MC rear diff skid
RC front diff skid
Adams 1350 front driveshaft
Rockhard front and rear control arm skids
ARB rear diff cover
ARB twin compressor
ACE rock rails
ACE front bumper
ACE rear bumper
ACE stand alone tire carrier
ACE hi-lift carrier and hi-lift
Warn winch with synthetic line

I'd beef up the brakes if I were you.
Agree, the brakes seem to be the weak point right now as it takes noticeably longer to stop. I may end up just replacing the axles with Dana 60's as they come with the bigger brakes.

That's a lotta Jeep. Perilously close to three tons before butts and boxes.

Here, 6K earns me a third window sticker (Weight Class 2), and my annual registration fee would double. Voice of experience; my Wrangler's predecessor was a truck.

Yeh, will probably replace the MC underbelly skids with the aluminum ones that get rid of the gas tank skid as well. Don't want to replace all the bumpers with aluminum though. Jeep still handles fine and I am the only one that drives it.

You are likely carrying 650 lbs in wheels, tires and oversized carrier alone!

Each 37-inch KM3 weighs 78 lbs x 5 = 390
Each aftermarket wheel weighs ~ 33 lbs x 5 = 165
Oversized spare carrier, high lift jack...? Another 100 lbs...?

Geez. I’d hate to get a flat! 😫

It's hard to make big weight savings and have quality wheels and tires. OPs listed Ace metal items is the problem. JLU owners have a selection of aluminum parts that make JL owners envious. But beware some companies aluminum parts are't all that much lighter.

I'm on a similar setup (37" KM3s, lots of armor, and a full fridge setup) and I still think the brakes are pretty adequate. A bit more pedal pressure is needed during everyday driving but during a full emergency stop the brakes do a good job hauling the Jeep down.

Weight above is probably right, but don't forget that is not all plus weight, the OEM wheels and tires probably weigh 450.

Yes, the ACE stuff is heavy, but I have had aluminum bumpers before on my TJ. They were not that much lighter and cost a ton more once you include powder coating. These ACE bumpers are beefy, but take one hell of a hit without denting at all.
