Do you have off-road plus engaged when this happens? Off-road plus turns off quite a few nanny features which would help if it’s one of those you have scared. I’ve climbed and defended 30deg pitches in my 392 and the engine has never skipped a beat. I’ve always been in 4-Lo and off-road plus mode.

Automatic transmissions don’t like to go backwards when you are in drive. If you fail to make a climb and start sliding backwards hit your main gear selector into neutral.

Auto or manual mode? I've heard this same thing happening in auto mode.
I had it to die in both modes. I was in auto the first time it die. Then switched to manual still die. But it started back up like normal..

can you replicates the problem?
you should video it and put it on YouTube/Facebook/instagram/onlyfans/pornhubs/tiktok with a title like "wrangler 392 engine problem" and get it public, or nobody will help you. Jeep dealer sucks.

my friend's 3.6 auto will just die in 4 low for no reason and no fix either, way passed warranty and dealer just say cannot confirm customer's concern.

I wonder if having some sort of code scanner on the vehicle, in live mode, to see engine data real time would help determine what's happening at the time. Then you could at least determine if it's loss of spark, fuel, or something else. If you're the first person to experience it, you'll probably have to also lead the way in doing some troubleshooting.

I would look at your battery cables and ensure they are tight.
I would then push in all of your fuses to ensure something is not coming loose during off camber situations. New Wranglers are known for these issues.
GL at dealership.

I died laughing with the masterful slip of onlyfans & pornhub as a place to post it.
