Yeah, a manufacturer that develops their own AI semiconductors and only sells $50-$160k cars loaded with more cameras, sensors and computational power than any other vehicle should stand to fair a little bit better than everyone else in that regard.

I'm actually a little surprised that a company who's average price per vehicle offered is $97k with such a large focus on advanced safety tech doesn't have a more significant decrease in accidents than the figures you posted. A large part of those statistics could be due to the likelihood that your average oblivious distracted driver isn't the person spending that kind of money by buying this brand?

I mean, sure, there's definitely shitty drivers for every brand and price point, but I'm guessing that people spending double or triple the amount of an average-priced car ($47k) generally have more interest in not damaging or destroying their vehicle. And even more so when compared to people spending a small fraction of that when buying used or a $22k Civic (nothing wrong with that, just saying your statistics can't possibly paint the whole picture).
I suspect the age of the average buyer is probably the most powerful accident-reducing influence. The $22k Civics are routinely purchased by teens and 20-somethings. They have earned their elevated insurance rates the hard way.

Reading through all of these comments. If the 23MY order guides are about to drop then I wonder if it really means much that Jeep is curtailing order submissions on certain models and options. Isn't the most logical explanation here is that Jeep is simply winding down 22MY builds so that they can focus on converting to 23MY?
exactly

I ordered on 12-4, still in D, no build sheet. :(
That’s insane! I ordered my ‘22 JLUR XR on 11/19 and it was delivered to the dealer at the end of January and to me about a week and a half later.

do you have some part on your build that it could be waiting on? Floor mats?

Make sure they don’t…
1) Require a $500+ “doc fee” or a bunch of other invented fees, or
2) Require financing through their programs, or
3) Require participation in any other program or purchase to qualify for the deal.
…. lots of lying bastards out there…
0) Mall of GA in Atlanta and Dan Cummins in KY are legit dealers that are closest to OP.

1) Look at the total cost. Even if you have to pay $500+ for doc fees but save $4K-$7K off sticker, it's still worth it. The dealer has to make some money off the deal.

2) You should have your own financing lined up whether or not the dealer requires you to use their bank for discount. Some dealers will reduce the discount if you don't use their bank. Again, look at your total cost.

If you're leasing, make sure you get Buy Rate money factor from Chrysler Capital (if you have Tier1/2 credit). Ally and US Bank is a little cheaper but they will limit your ability flip the lease should you choose to do so.

3) Some dealers provide additional discounts if you have an Affiliate Program. Technically, the Affiliate Program is special pricing of 1% off Invoice. However, since some dealers are already offering more than 1% off invoice, these dealers will either not honor Affiliate or stack another 0.5%-1.0% on top of their discount, if you qualify. You need to check with the dealer to confirm.

To get an Affiliate discount, you need to pay $100 to join Tread Lightly. Another way is to check to see if your employer does business with Chrysler, if they do, they may qualify for Affiliate.

There are lots of unscrupulous dealers out there but there are also some really good ones. If you do your research and understand the various programs and offers, then you will be able to call BS when the dealers try to rip you off.

Bingo. Total cost is all that matters. If the "doc fee" is $1,000 -- but I'm getting $10k off -- then that's still a good deal.

$53,995 + $0 doc fee = $53,995

$43,995 + $1,000 doc fee = $44,995

Total selling price is all that matters. Who cares what they call different line items?

I must have gotten lucky. They delivered it to Chapman in Philly two days before the price increase hit everyone, so I dodged that bullet.

That being said, my axle bent 60 days later so it hasn’t been without its Karma.

I'm also on the Mini Cooper reddit and have been hearing about people's orders being completely cancelled months after being placed. All they get is a letter stating that their order has been cancelled and they need to contact their dealer to start a new order. Which also pushes them to the back of the queue.

I finally had mine come in on Friday, and I'm picking it up today. It was a long process and the sales guy I talked to said that they've had a number of customers with "sold orders" get cancelled. In CA, it's illegal to take an "order deposit" on a car, so there are CA destined cars that get cancelled because there was nothing binding.

Good news is the '23 20th Anniversary model will be exciting. It'll be expensive, though.... Expect an MSRP starting at $99k.

If true then that would be a massive spike. The most expensive domestic Wrangler is currently at $92,265 and there are only 101 over $90k.

Average is $53.5k.

Looks like 3.6L etorque is still select-able, we have a few that have been assigned VINs but last year we saw rams get delted and scheduled as the next model year with a $3000 price increase. Unless they've built it, a scheduled build can be cancelled and scheduled for a 23

If they do a price increase between the day you order and when you take delivery the dealer can do a price protection and you still pay based on the original order price

Hopefully they have both a 392 and regular Rubicon (2-door too!) in the 20th Anniv. edition. And here I thought the 392 was a little overpriced. $100k for any JL is just goofy imo.
