I surprised to see a lot of folks have ordered the manual given that it is known to stink.

And if you have a POC, even if it isn't signed, keep in mind the acronym stands for Priced Order Confirmation. They should honor that, especially if you've put down a deposit with your order. What concerns me more is whether interest rates and financing will change by the time my build is complete. That is something they can't guarantee.
It will likely change by the time you get a window sticker. But they should honor the price on the POC since that's what you agreed to when you gave them your deposit. I say "should" but I'm guessing they could decide to try and gouge you for the price difference if they wanted to.I have a POC from Koons and at the bottom it says "prices and equipment shown on this priced order confirmation are tentative and subject to change or correction without prior notice"
i find this alarming as they also state that the deposit is non refundable.
Your dealer should have the VINordered from Rob at Tuttle-Click Irvine CA. Per Jeepchat ON 7/28/22, NO VIN yet
You should have a VIN within a week from your dealer. Tracker won’t show anything except order confirmed. For those that have received a VIN, how long after placing your order did that take?
Same order date for me, but an almost loaded JLRU. Still no VIN for me.Ordered 2023 Willys Unlimited XR
- 3.6L V6 Auto
- Granite Crystal
- Alpine Audio
- Hardtop
- Sill Guards
- Headliner
Ordered on 7/19/22
Jeep email confirmation on 7/21/22
Dealer provided VIN 7/26/22
Jeep tracker still shows VIN TBD. Will update once I get to the next step in the scheduling process.
Yeah that seems just a loop hole for them to price hike. But if they are reputable I would think they wouldn’t do that knowing that their name would be all over the forums in a negative way.I have a POC from Koons and at the bottom it says "prices and equipment shown on this priced order confirmation are tentative and subject to change or correction without prior notice"

I haven't recieved any soft schedule date for my Sahara Altitude, but I haven't pressed my dealer. They did reach out to the Regional Jeep Rep. I dont know the whole conversation, but Jeep will build a Sahara Altitude in 23. I was asked if I wanted to wait till 8/15 for any order movement. I don't know where that date came from, regional rep or dealer. My current vehicle has lost thousands so no hurt in waiting till the 15th now. A backup build has been emailed to my dealer. So as of today I’m in a C status with a soft build date of 9/1/22. I will cancel if there’s no progress between now and then. I have no VIN and no firm schedule. Seems like a risk but I really liked the Altitude (plus my dealer a mile away went to 3% below invoice after I tried to cancel my order). If I have no progress by 9/1 I’m probably going to cancel and drive the 6 hours to Dan Cummins in KY for a non-Altitude purchase at 5% under invoice with the friends and family discount. I tried to have Dan Cummins build an Altitude and they weren’t able to choose that from the Stellantis system but the dealer from whom I ordered assured me that based on discussions with the rep and his boss’ boss that my Altitude will indeed be manufactured. Time will tell. I’ll keep you posted. Best of luck. We’re in the same boat, brother (or sister, whatever the case may be)….
We've never seen a verified instance where the price on the POC was not honored. It will likely change by the time you get a window sticker. Makes sense. The internet being what it is, it would cost the dealership more in the long run in lost business if they didn't honor the POC.We've never seen a verified instance where the price on the POC was not honored.
Besides the stock gearing what else stinks? I partly went with a Rubicon to get the 4:10 over the 3:45 in the Willys. That plus AT over MTs.I surprised to see a lot of folks have ordered the manual given that it is known to stink.
