For those that used the TL discount at the time of purchase (not just the initial quote), did the dealer require you to provide paystubs or a W-2, or just the TL member letter?

I just gave my TL number, but I never met the dealer in person. Why would a paystub / W-2 be required?

It shouldn't be required as the TL membership letter clearly states that is all you need to prove you are the true owner of the control number.

Now, there are other ways to get the FCA discount through your employer, at which time in order to prove the control number is yours, you have to provide either a work ID, pay stub, or w-2 in order to prove employment.

My rep is simply confusing the two and adamant that you need a paystub/w-2 even for TL discount.

Glad to see others are being treated as they should be.

I plan to follow mine from Toledo and at the lot until it's ready. (Not really, though I'd be tempted.) But, fwiw, my dealer/contract says I have five days to get it after being notified of delivery to the dealer.

It's one of the high volume dealers, so they probably do need to keep lot spaces open.
It's going to be a bit of a drive for me. But since some of my family members have been known to think they got a great deal when they paid just under MSRP (long before COVID,) I'm actually a bit cautiously proud I'll be saving significantly more than that, even when adjusting for my time + gas at the current rates!

Some dealers may get confused like when we hired a new sales manager.

Affiliate codes have supplier or member most we see in regular dealer without under invoice pricing is supplier so stellantis does require proof of employment.
