I FINALLY placed my 2023 order! Wooowee what an annoying few weeks its been!

To recap: earlier this month I went to the same dealership I ordered my 2020 from and they couldn't add either safety group to my jeep. So I said no thanks. On top of that they wouldn't go below MSRP, which they automatically did for our 2020 so I was even more salty about that experience. I reached out to other dealerships in the area and they said no one is doing below MSRP right now. Lol, cute.

So I emailed Koons in VA. Its a little over an hour away from me and emailing them was so simple. Today I gave my deposit and officially have my jeep on order!

Order placed 7/27
2 Door Rubicon in white
Black hardtop
Front camera
17-Inch x 7.5-Inch Machined Whls with Black Pockets
All weather floor mats
LED light group
Cold weather group
Safety & advanced safety groups
Tow group
4:1 rock trac
Steel bumper

Almost the same as my 2020 build except its a 2 door and will have the front camera and 4:1 rock-trac. (Would have gotten the front camera if it were available!)

Koons offered 5% off invoice. They also said they would apply the .5% for tread lightly once im eligible in August. (And if they don't, they don't. I'm just so dang happy my jeep is on order!)

I will gladly drive 1+ hour to Virginia to save thousands on my jeep.

Now we wait!

I placed my Sahara Altitude order on 6/15, and just heard from the dealer this morning that the cold weather group is holding up the order and that in order to push my order through, they needed to remove the cold weather group, which I really wanted, enough to cancel the order and consider my options. V6 auto. Anyone else heard of this? Seems odd to me.
Can I ask what the status of your order is right now? I ordered a Sahara Altitude on May 13th, only to be told weeks later that the 22’s are no longer being allocated, and to wait for the 23’s. But now it looks like the Sahara Altitude is no longer an option. My dealer said it could show up in the near future. I’m pretty upset about it, it would have been my first new car. And to add insult to injury, they removed the manual option on the regular Sahara! I think I’ll hold out hope that they will open up the altitude option later this year.

So as of today I’m in a C status with a soft build date of 9/1/22. I will cancel if there’s no progress between now and then. I have no VIN and no firm schedule. Seems like a risk but I really liked the Altitude (plus my dealer a mile away went to 3% below invoice after I tried to cancel my order). If I have no progress by 9/1 I’m probably going to cancel and drive the 6 hours to Dan Cummins in KY for a non-Altitude purchase at 5% under invoice with the friends and family discount. I tried to have Dan Cummins build an Altitude and they weren’t able to choose that from the Stellantis system but the dealer from whom I ordered assured me that based on discussions with the rep and his boss’ boss that my Altitude will indeed be manufactured. Time will tell. I’ll keep you posted. Best of luck. We’re in the same boat, brother (or sister, whatever the case may be)….

For those that ordered under MSRP, did you hand write the details of the deal on the POC and have the dealer sign? Just looking for best practices to confirm price and make sure there are no add Ons or fees.

I signed my poc and my dealer gave me another form with the agreed price that I signed and a disclosure about their price protection policy.

Sahara High Latitude is available on the website, the regular Sahara Altitude is the trim that has disappeared.

Koons prints it at the bottom of the purchase order showing the reduction and how it was calculated

And if you have a POC, even if it isn't signed, keep in mind the acronym stands for Priced Order Confirmation. They should honor that, especially if you've put down a deposit with your order. What concerns me more is whether interest rates and financing will change by the time my build is complete. That is something they can't guarantee.

I ordered my Jeep Rubicon Unlimited 4XE High Velosity Yellow, winter package, black leather, on July 8. I am in in D status and have my VIN number as of yesterday. Dealer said I should have within 2-3 months. Jeep Tracker shows that I have placed order. This forum (thank you) said the start build of 2023 is August 11, so looking forward to receiving. Thanks

I would love to see that new Earl color so when somebody gets that one take a real world picture of it because on the website it looks really nice especially when you throw black on it. ?

Finally did it.
Order submitted and deposit paid on a '23 4xe.
According to the dealer, should have a VIN later today.

(And now, we wait!)
