I had settled on the Willy’s, as I really wanted Premium Soft top. And since had to add AC to Willy’s sport, figured, better deal if a bit more money.

But now the 2door Willy’s Sport has AC and 7” Screen w/CarPlay.

Looks like only thing I’d really want in the Willy’s is to add premium soft top. Yes, the LED’s are legit. But I’ve added to my 2016….soo….Almost 6 years, I really don’t miss pwr windows/door locks.

What are real options for the top? Last time I priced the premium top from parts it was over $2k. Is there a really good non-OEM premium soft top? Or a way to just buy the premium material and not frame and all?

I know I could maybe wait for someone with the dual roof to throw a premium top on Craigs list. Is that only viable option?

I will be ordering my 2023 SWB Rubicon in the next 10 or as soon as I can get out town and go to my dealer. I too have been unable to get build that does not force me into the 2.0T or a std shift trans (wich I would do but my wife wants me to get the Auto so she can drive).

It did go up a little.

Not terrible. 2019 base was 28, 045. A/C was a 1300 add. If air is standard now, looks like base has only jumped about 900....assuming my assumptions are assumed properly.

I've always disabled ESS on everything i've owned except my 2019 Ram that I used to own. It had etorque. It was quick and smooth going from a stop, engine off then starting again. It senses when you take your foot off the brake and by the time you start pushing the gas pedal the engine is already running. I'm not sure if the v-6 jeep etorque is that smooth or not.

What is your motivation for getting the premium top? I have other cars with "premium" (made of cloth material) soft tops, and I think I prefer the regular soft top on my Willys. There are no issues that I can detect with noise, and I think the vinyl material will age better than the cloth while holding up just as well.

It is that smooth. I despised ESS until I got the etorque. Now I leave it on and don't think about it. The only time it's not smooth is when the air conditioning is running...when it starts back up with the air on it's slightly rough.

I prefer the premium top as it triple layered. This should add some insulation. As you say, also cloth which I prefer.

The only two option I ordered on my ‘16 sport was AC and premium soft top. For day to day use, I think one of the better upgrades, value wise ($600). ordering thru parts is $2,500.

Other than LED‘s on the full Willy’s, nothing on there I really care about. If I go to Willy’s, (and not Willy’s Sport) I might as well go Rubicon. Which is overkill, but least I’ll get use out of those features.

It might come down to Willy’s sport and buy the premium top from parts…or skip all the way to Rubi. Since I only want 2door and manual and and want the premium top, my choices are limited.
