Thanks, good idea with the cloth, I will give it a shot once the weather warms up, more flexible the rubber is the better I think?I have the full WeatherTech cargo mat for my JLR with Alpine subwoofer. I place the mat on a cardboard sheet and cut the subwoofer cutout with a Exacto knife. It's easy and does not take too much pressure to cut through. Just cut around the inside of the oval so the raised lip is intact. You can take some sand paper to smooth out the cutout if you have some jagged edges. I don't think you will have to though. I also placed a piece of black cloth under the mat between the subwoofer to keep dust and dirt from falling into the subwoofer. I did not want any issues with debris bouncing around in the woofer. It's been a year and no issues.
