Fantastic news! Thx for sharing.

This makes me think that there is some other mystery to our 2.0T coolant system. Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Chupacabra, and UFOs got nuthin’ on us!!! :like:
I Chalk it up to the organic properties dissipating. I've added about 3/4 of a quart over 3 years and 50k miles.

Checked mine the other day and I think I need to add some coolant. Dumb question but do I fill both reservoirs or just the black one?

Also I have this coolant coming in tomorrow.

Checked mine the other day and I think I need to add some coolant. Dumb question but do I fill both reservoirs or just the black one?

Also I have this coolant coming in tomorrow.

Fill whichever one is low. Your upper reservoir is definitely low. The lower reservoir has markings on the side of the tank for max/min. Most of the discussion about low coolant has been about the upper one.

By the way there is a gauge inside the tank that is much easierto read than the dip stick. Shine a light in there and look in with your phone camera and you’ll see it

If you’re low, just make sure you check those water pump bolts. I had the disappearing antifreeze problem until these bolts were reinstalled with locktight and torqued to spec by the dealer. The little ratchet tool that came with our Jeeps makes the check pretty easy….I found mine had loosened.

Thanks, I plan on topping off the first tomorrow while it’s cooled down and problem the small clear one as well.

I've had to add 10-12 oz to my '20 every 6 months or so. The running temp has never been anything but rock solid through three years of daily driving and hard wheeling in the Las Vegas desert.

Just did a 60K mile flush and everything looks normal otherwise. No leaks and all the relevant bolts look clean as a whistle.

I've only had to add coolent to the intercooler loop (the small clear tank) once around 50k miles, and that was less then 5oz just to keep it on the mark.

Funny. This thread got me to check my coolant levels again. They have been fine historically. Well, turns out my main reservoir was a touch low… again! Added ~6oz.

I keep a log and my last top off was 10k miles ago.

Last month, my 4xe started issuing high-temperature warnings. Interestingly, as soon as I eased off the gas pedal, the temperature returned to normal. I'd already depleted my battery, so the engine was running more frequently. Upon returning home, I discovered that the coolant level was low. After topping it up, I didn't experience any further overheating issues.

Over the course of the following month, I found myself needing to add coolant repeatedly. Strangely, there were no visible leaks on the ground, in the oil, or from the exhaust. This issue left me as puzzled as many others in my situation, and I decided to schedule an appointment with my dealer. Unfortunately, all the dealers had their calendars booked for a month or more.

During this waiting period, I meticulously inspected every hose in the engine bay. I did notice a few faint pink spots underneath the coolant tank, located just above the turbo. However, they weren't extensive. To troubleshoot further, I decided to clean the engine bay and embark on an extended drive relying solely on the engine. Upon reevaluation, I observed a damp area just above the connector of the outlet tube of the coolant tank.

This newfound discovery made me optimistic that the dealer would easily resolve the issue. When the day of my appointment finally arrived, I dropped off my Jeep and provided them with a detailed description of the situation, along with photos of the problematic spot. However, three days later, they informed me that they couldn't identify any leaks and that the system was holding pressure. They did, however, order a replacement tank for me.

They couldn't provide an exact arrival date for the new tank due to a strike, but they assured me I could continue driving the Jeep. So, the following morning, I picked it up and noticed that they had cleaned the pink coolant spots. However, it seemed unlikely that the tank or connector would exhibit issues when the coolant was cold; rather, it only seemed to leak when the engine bay experienced heat saturation.

In response, I've taken matters into my own hands by ordering replacement parts that are set to arrive this week. My plan is to swap out the tank and the 90-degree fitting. Additionally, I intend to add thermal insulation around the turbo cover and the tank to offer extra protection. The Jeep already has a foam insulator near the connector, but I'm uncertain if it was intended to cover it completely. Regardless, it appears necessary for added security.

Question about the intercooler container. Here’s a picture of mine cold which looks a little low. 2nd pic is after it’s been warmed up and it’s all to one side? Think I should fill it up some?

Can't hurt to keep it at the Max line. But unless it falls below 'min' it'll still operate perfectly. I didn't bother with mine until it was closer to min then max. And that took over 50k miles to drop low enough to bother with.

Fyi: Both systems are designed to be measured when cold.

Well I’m almost afraid to post this, but I guess we are all here to learn and share.

Never had a leak, never overheated and this was my reservoir when I went to top off yesterday. 41.5k miles on her. Topped off both reservoirs.

Boss Lady was complaining of a strange smell on start up. I crawled under it to look at the coolant neck that is the subject of many leaks and nope, not it! I did find pink liquid on the upper control arm on the drivers side. I traced it up to the coolant bottle, leaking at the fitting on the bottom.
Ordered the bottle and the hose from @allmoparparts $106.00 plus shipping. Thanks Benny!

I have the bottle and I’m waiting on the hose connector. The hose has a thick insulation but the connector is exposed. I think it’s getting too hot so I’m going to try and insulate it more since it’s right next to the turbo. I’m also wondering if it’s just the o-ring at the connector going bad. If we only had to replace the o-ring every once in awhile it would be cheaper.
