Do you have a reference for this?
They are generic numbers. Page is here
Jeep Wrangler JL 0W20 engine oil? 1745955567082-qd

Also notice I use 0w30 instead of 5w30 but should be the same regardless at that temperature or any other temperature as the winter grade is not a displacement test but resistance to rotation test.
Note: viscosity will slightly vary by manufacturer but the affirmation remain true in essence.

What you have in mind in relation to the question above ?

According to the owner's manual, 0W-20 is only "recommended." 0W-20 "can" be used if it is API Starburst certified.

From page 359
Jeep Wrangler JL 0W20 engine oil? 1751216294993-xr

Going to the reference page of 306, API Starburst certifies 0W-20, 0W-30, and 5W-30.

From page 308
Jeep Wrangler JL 0W20 engine oil? 1751216492097-cd

Sure sounds like using other than 0W-20 is not a problem, and deciding to do so should have have all the controversy or drama.

Hey for those who make a big fuss saying the engineers have specifically stated 0w20 is the best oil, are these the same engineers who designed the visors that keep breaking?
