Not sure if I am the only one, but for some reason when I'm driving my JL, I just like to take it real easy. Before when I had my Camaro and then Caddy I was the agro driver, tailgating, switching lanes....if I wasn't doing that then I was on my phone.

Now, I got my iTunes playlist, playing my tunes, windows down, sometimes doors off and I'm the guy going like 5-10MPH over the speed limit without a care in the world.

Anyone else?

The more open air there is, the easier it is to enjoy going slow in my experience.

A few weeks ago, I took a drive in my dad’s ‘99 Trans Am WS6 T-Top. I found myself going under the speed limit at times. I had no place I needed to be, the tops off, and was loving the sound of the V8 through the throaty exhaust. Of course I made the tires squeal a time or two pulling away from a stop light, but for the most part, it was more lay back, and take it easy.

Strange phenomenon...I feel like I’m going faster than I am in the Jeep. In all my other cars 80 felt like 60. Caught myself going a couple under the speed limit today. I dig it.

Oh yeah. My driving habits mirrors yours and now I also do the same thing.

Coasting and giving the Jeep wave!

Lol, used to be my sole purpose in life was to move slow drivers out of the left lane, now I rarely even get in the left lane. I miss the throttle response and the exhaust note but am much more relaxed in the Jeep.

I stay out of the left lane and drive consciously so others are not negatively impacted by my driving.
The fastest is usually 70 mph. In the correct context I will drive fast in my sports car. But that's whats it was built for.

Yeah, I just tootle in the Jeep, I like it that way. :)
I tootle too. It’s been 25 years for me since driving was fun, and then it was going fast in German sport sedans.

Now it’s fun just tootling.

Although unlike Rudolph, I tootle on the correct side of the road.

I know the feeling totally. Plenty of power, plenty of capability, but I've got nothing to prove, and everyone on the road needs to calm the f*** down because I'm enjoying myself while looking for other Jeeps to wave at :like: :jk:
