Well, that dealership sounds like an awful place to deal with, but it’s good that your ac is working now. Does it operate any different from stock?
Wow... I bet you did.. What utter nonsense! Scumbag dealership.
I bought my JLUSS from this Dealership, and had a wonderful experience. Granted, I did not have an aftermarket A/C installed.
I'm just glad @Riderkjo finally got his A/C installed, and that it works. Now he needs to put his roof on, and use it. Summer is here, in Houston, and it's no place to be riding topless, unless on the beach.

Summer is exactly the time to be going topless. What are you trying to say? The sun is bad?

It's going to spend a lot of time with the top on until I can rig up a hoist in my garage.
The sun isn't too bad in most places but the humidity is unbearable at times.

Perhaps you do, my TJ didn’t have a top on it at all for about 6 months at a time when I lived in Oklahoma.
Oklahoma is the south? Brother I’m talking about the swamps of Florida where humidity is so high you get hydrated just by breathing, the temps are mid to high 90s and you sweat in the shade. And then thunderstorms hit every afternoon at 3 that flood your floor faster than your drain plugs can empty it. I always rolled in my TJ and YJ (latter of which had no AC) with no doors or windows, but I had to have some shade from the Florida sun so the top stayed up.

Look up some national weather data sometime. Everyone thinks their state is the hottest.

I mean, I'll ride topless as often as I can here in Houston but the problem isn't the heat. It's the damn pop-up severe thunderstorms that happen when there's 0% chance of rain. Unless we're looking at days of 0% rain, I won't even bother pulling the top off.

In the south we ride topless in the winter... it’s too hot in the summer.

Well, I looked up the 10 hottest cities in the US and I think Florida had two of them (Miami and Orlando), Texas had 3, Arizona had 1...

Florida is just hot all the time. There’s no cold time anymore. I remember growing up there and having some winters where you’d see like mid-30’s but it usually didn’t last more than a few days. Oklahoma at least actually gets cold and it can snow there!

We were going to take a topless cruise yesterday but a storm rolled in. Clear blue sky and raining sideways.

Presidio, TX can be 115 during the day and 45 at night, but at least it's arid. Everything that touches the Gulf of Mexico is absolutely miserable, and Florida (America's weener) is basically a swamp with water on both sides.

Anyway, a propos of the conversation here, Florida is the southernmost state besides Hawaii so you’re going to experience the most UV exposure there when you have the top down. This is important to the paler types like me. One of the things that struck me about Hawaii when I lived there for three years was that despite having more intense sun exposure because of its lattitude, it still wasn’t as hot as Florida because of the wind and the humidity.

Mid-30's? We only see that at 3am on February 30th. :)

lolol Oh boy...ya'll dont wanna argue with mwilk012. His opinion is that its just as hot in the northern states as it is in the southern states. Disregard proximity to equator, longer summers and just science in general
