TIL - on 2025 Rubicon a factory 4.88 option gets you 10mm tube DANA M210 WIDE HD TUBE FRONT AXLE & the Steel Knuckles.

Great! I actually appreciated having those sturdy axles on the 4xe, seems like this jeep has it too. I didn't know the $1000 CAD 4.88 options bumps you up on better axles.

for that price, just the 4.88s make it a total steal… including the better axles make it just an incrdible value! Congrats to you for finding it, and to Jeep for making an awesome package (for a change!)

@ORACLElights - Pre-runner lights. These are actually very bright and I love the deep amber color instead of the sad yellow in the previous set I bought off amazon. Nicely done Oracle.

The amber matches my @Diode Dynamics SS3 Fog's amber DRL perfectly.

I have a bit of a lean on the passenger side. This is most likely because of the missing shims that comes in the AEV lift kit but they conveniently doesn't include them in their coil spring set. RockJock makes a similar shim set in both 3/16 and 1/4 size. I am going to get a front and rear 1/4 shims from them.

I also noticed that the AEV spring doesn't sit that well on the daystar isolator - i might have to go back to the stock isolator similar to what the AEV kit instructs.

My caster is currently at 5.4. Since the lift height was a bit more compared to what I got on 4xe, I do want to get to 6 degrees caster if possible. I would probably get a pair of Mopar lift LCAs in addition to the geometry correction bracket to get more caster.

I am running 2 inch bump stops front and rear. With about 3" lift height, there is about an inch of stock shaft at flex and there was more space to stuff the tire. I am going to add 0.5" bump stop shims to all 4 corners just as a means of caution and not bottoming out the shock.

Part list for next updates:
  • Mopar 68322798AA longer LCAs (Getting caster to 6-ish)
  • Stock spring perches (i have the ones removed from this jeep)
  • RockJock Front 1/4 shim - RJ-107100-3 (front passenger side)
  • RockJock Rear 1/4 shim - RJ-107400-3 (rear passenger side)
  • TeraFlex 1959300 bump stop shims - use 0.5 for all 4 corners bump stops
------------

The ride is super dialed in now. DSC shocks are at 2 clicks in on high-speed, and 3 clicks in at low-speed - buttery smooth. I might have to go a couple more clicks up low-speed for highway cruising but this is perfect for puttering around town.

5.4 caster should be great Especially with no FAD not sure I would go higher.
I have to admit, the caster thing confuses me. I have an outstanding 4x4 shop I go to. They set my caster at 7+, and my Jeep runs GREAT. I know this is way over what is recommended here, but for some reason it works very well for me - tracking straight, cornering, return-to-center, etc. FYI, it’s a JLUR on a 2.5” lift and 35s on stock rims, with 2” wheel spacers.

Why does that make a difference? Again, I know very little about this.

because with FAD your front driveshaft is not spinning when driving...so you don't have to worry about driveshaft vibration due to pinion angle if your caster is too high.....without FAD you need to compromise a bit and go lower on caster to keep a happy driveshaft....

Yeah i have a FAD delete axle, but i had the same on the 4xe too (M210 HD tube with CV boot and FAD delete). I ran 6 deg caster on it and it tracked like a bullet with no correction needed.
Currently I lean a bit to passenger because of the above spring shim situation and the steering slightly has tendency to lean right if left as is. Other than that it does drive great and nothing like my 2020 JLU.

Your Window sticker has some huge numbers. Then I realized it's in Canadian dollars. :)
Seems it was a fantastic base starting point for what you have built.

Got the cargo rack back up. Need to figure out how I can mount a single rotopax water can (2gal) on the right side bottom of the middle tray. This molle system has larger rectangles and the usual molle mounting bolts (like tacmolle) aint working on this one.

Got the rubber cargo mat from my old 2020 jeep back in there. Trailrax pakrax bottom plates were slightly rusted, i scraped and sanded them a bit and spray painted. Will install them later this week.
