After some hard trails in the fall and over 25 thousand kilometers on, the Fox 2.0 fronts have become super floaty for highway driving, esp since adding weight in the rear (plywood based storage setup and aluminum cargo rack system.
Contemplated trying some stop gap Bilstein 5100s with the AEV spring, then figured I just cry once and buy what I should have bought in the first place - Fox 2.5 DSC. There was a good boxing day sale on the shock - about 250 CAD less per set thats a whole 500 CAD less in total for all 4. Unbeatable deal and thats the lowest I have seen them in 2 years. Ditched the idea of Falcon 3.3s as I love Fox shocks ride quality and the DSC will help firm up for highway and around town riding.
Will update here once I install the shocks. Additionally I am throwing in 0.5 spacers on the passenger front and passenger rear - apparently the AEV lift kit comes with some shims on those 2 spots but buying the spring set separately didn't come with it... so spacers are going in too along with the shocks.
Lift height after settling - around 2.75" vs stock.
Stance (top of tire to bottom-most part of fender)
Front: 8.25"
Rear: 7.75"
Rear kinda comes down to 7.25 -ish when loaded for trail and 2 kids in the back seat. Not bad at all.. the AEV rear springs have pretty good load carrying capacity and not sagging when loaded.
