40 times and you didn't press okay, rather than X, once?..
It is not what button you press, but how many times you re-start the vehicle during the day.

Whenever there is a wind storm warning in a 300 mile radius, I have a similar issue with the stupid TraveLink popping up a warning on my screen. Even if I acknowledge it by hitting OK, the stupid screen keeps popping up every time I re-start the engine, as long as the warning is in effect.

It is extremely annoying to put it mildly.

This is a sample of the intrusive screen

I started getting asked about my Extended Warranty on the screen several days ago. I called SirrusXM Gaurdian to cancel for privacy reason, it is still there. Next step is to see if removing the modem will cause a error and go from there. Will definately be breaking out the RF Explorer though.

Class action gets you, and everyone signed up, a $500 voucher when you trade for a new Jeep. It gets the lawyers millions. Class action lawsuits are worthless.
If I'm following you correctly Joe your claim--and one I agree with--is that those most disenfranchised by the annoying messages, the vehicle owner/operator, stand to earn the least compensation, the bulk going to lawyer's fees.

This fact notwithstanding though, in that those large lawyer's fees are paid by the offender, class actions do help incentivize "the man," I think, to act more responsibly.

My thing is who cares if it's only 15 dollars or some voucher...it's more than you started with and cost you nothing. Like OMG who cares. I have received quite a bit of money in the form of back-pay because of a class action. That was money I was owed and it cost me nothing to get it from the company I once worked for. Not a bad deal if you ask me, not all class actions are the same.

No matter what the reason is for the class action, etc, everyone who buys “the man’s” product pays. The corporate “deep pockets” are filled by the customers of said corporation. When their taxes are raised, a fine imposed, or a judgement is levied, those costs are simply rolled into the cost of their products going further. No one wins by “sticking it it to the man”. We all pay, unless we opt out by no longer doing business with the man.

But, such actions do sting the man for the moment and are hopefully a means to modify their behavior, if only briefly.

In the 4 years I’ve owned my Jeep, I’ve never gotten an ad. Ya’ll got to quit downloading porn and stick to just reading the Sears catalog…..

Driving today and this overlay kept popping up over and over, no less than 40 times. I kept hitting the X to close it, but back it came, overlaying my navigation that I was using. I called and asked to have this disabled (that and my jeep has over 36,000 miles) and the rep asks for my VIN. How the hell am I supposed to know that while driving, and why would they make it so easy to call while driving? And to top it all off, when I said I was driving and didn't know my VIN, they abruptly hung up on me. I am fucking livid.

@JeepCares, I need this pop up to stop. Please DM me to resolve.

I stopped reading when you started whining and ranting like a child looking for mommy's skirts. But then I made it to the foul language and realize you need other kind of help and dodn't read any further.

I don't think this was actually Jeep.

To me, this seems like a hack / phishing attempt - especially since they hung up on you. It would not surprise me. Was your phone hooked up? It looks to be so since Android Auto is there in your pic.

Be glad they hung up.

I'm glad I ripped mine out before this happened to me...third party FTW.

Between touch screen not working in the dew/high humidity, flaky connection to USB stick (own music), not connecting to the reverse camera at times, and the times it decided to go into some stupid glitch frenzy....what a POS.

Isn't there a setting to turn popups off? This was discussed in another thread.

The point of a class action in this case wouldn't be to get money, but to hold for accountability. There is nothing wrong with lawyers getting millions as they are doing all the work, and they only get paid if they win. While I am not a lawyer I know that any lawsuit going after an automotive manufacture is a shitload lot of work. If you are in a typical class action for the money then you are in it for the wrong reasons. Class action lawsuits are far from worthless.

I will settle for sticking it to the man to modify his behavior even if only briefly. Yes, I understand that it has the potential to raise the price of my next vehicle by $8.76, or even $87.60. I am good with that. That is like saying don't bust your son's ass, because it will only modify his behavior temporarily, and after all it will hurt me more than it will hurt him. Having said all that, the problem is/was so widespread the probability of a lawyer looking into it, and concluding it wasn't winnable, or worth it, for some legal reason is probably high.
